Guys, if you truly think 'diversity is just another word for white genocide', there's a town just for you right up in Harrison, AR. You'll love it there. There's billboards all over town funded by the KKK that say shit like that. The residents even glare at you if you're just some white outa-towner. My friend in college was from there and he was literally the only non-white kid in town. He was half black but looked kinda like a Turkish Janissary heritage almost, so all the kids at school called him towel head. His dad used to get KKK threats in the mail. I'm telling you, you'll love it there, it's the last white hold out we've got! We gotta protect the white blood! #KKK4lyfe
I don't think that at all and I condemn the KKK for their crimes against humanity. You see, if you regard a country as a human colon, you might find value in diversity, such as the safe transit of excrement. I do not see countries from a bacterial strain diversity vantage point. What you have to come to realize is that many cultures especially the ones with whom a predominant religious dogma is in place, are bearing a serious retardation. Many are unable to progress because they are stuck praying 5 times a day and everything they do has to be channeled through that narrow sewer duct that has a bad smell and is not inviting to the sight.
Some cultures are running behind and others are truly retarded. This is not hate, it is observation. Racially there's nothing wrong with them, black, white, blue...their body is functional. But culturally many run behind because they still believe in Santa Claus. Even in nature, and we know how chaotic nature can be, even in nature, there is segregation, lions by themselves, hienas by themselves, birds are in the trees and the ants in the earth. You might say they are different species, but I'm sure that a dog who meows, catches mice and avoids water will have trouble integrating even a dog pack.
Really?
Maybe just don't use Canada as an example. We are multicultural and very proud of it. I live in a town surrounded by every race, religion and custom I work in the same setting. We do not try to be a melting pot forcing people to give up what they are. People live happier when they can practice their customs and use their language. Being Canadian is being multicultural. You'd be surprised we do have old white men too, they earn their place in Canada, like all immigrants do. First nations people in Canada now have better birth rights, but we are still a long way behind in fixing the mistakes we made years ago.
Yes, and I do compliment you on your tolerance of other cultures, but if a father kills her daughter for dating a Canadian, I hope you will apply the Canadian law and that your judgement will be based on how Canadians view things and not on how that retard views things. I hope you will not pardon him because that's his custom! Even if in his retarded country it's perfectly normal and no one would judge him!
You tend to view your tolerance as acceptance. You say you accept other cultures and are proud of it, but what you in fact mean is that
you only accept what's ACCEPTABLE, from the Canadian stand point. And I honestly hope that it will not change, I hope that you will not wake up one day and say that the retarded is acceptable because it's someone's custom! That's what this whole debate is about! Not about common terms but differences!
I take from your posts you have immigrated to Canada and left your culture behind. Because of the immense size and sparse population, immigration over years happened where thousands of people from a single culture predominantly occupied areas and due to isolation their languages and cultures remained intact.
A few generations of moving working and living later and we became very accepting of each other. Being Canadian is truly the ability to rise above difference and find unity. I am an old white man, my partner is asian our land lords are Turkish, they're Muslim, my partner is Bhuddist I'm Christian. Conflict only occurs when one feels so right they want to over ride the rights of the one they perceive as wrong and make them conform.
People are not all born to be alike the melting pot is a choice you must make for you and your children, Canada choose to let everyone be themselves whenever possible.
You think like someone who never experienced war or instability in their own region. You are correct, Canada is highly stable, nothing ever happens, but think about it: If problems occur with shortage of food and water, in the event of a civil war, will a Canadian Muslim pick up an AK-47 and fight on the side of a Canadian yelling Allah Wakbar! and drag his body to safety when he's hit? Right now all these cultures are united in good times, but are they gona stay united in bad times? Not sure about that, unless they all abide by Canadian ideals and all fight for the same things. If one fights for Canada, one believes in Santa Claus and the other worships Fire, not sure how that would work out.
