There is no such thing as a strong woman. Only weak men that make lost and hysterical ones appear strong.

Wow.

And @ Bella Figura: That's priceless!

OK, off to the polls I go to cast my vote :

Against Trump. For legalization of weed. Against the death penalty. For the plastic bag ban. Against Citizens United (as silly as that is because it's a protest vote). The rest of it is either less crucial (think Port Commissioner, how many hours beforehand the legislature needs to announce votes on bond expenditures and a bunch of controversial local crap) but after months of trying to study all these propositions and candidates, I think I've got most figured out including lots of 'abstains'.

A friend of mine, certain that Clinton will win (I'm not) is having a party to celebrate "the first woman President". I declined the invitation not because I am casting my vote for her simply as a vote against Trump--so I am feeling less than celebratory-- but because this election has been like an endless beating. I plan to vote and then go on a hike and then sit outside tonight as far away from TV as I can get. Sometimes you just need to remind yourself of a bigger picture. Because no matter who wins this election, the real work of getting along with each other continues.

While it is never nice to make fun of someone when they're down it is a rare day the whole world gets to smirk like today. Not to be left out, I'm certain none of you expected to ever hear the words "Where is Sarah Palin when we need her"?

For those on a tighter budget, if all doesn't go well today for you.

It's quite interesting when you watch the actual full footage (given the edited versions and what they have been made to imply).

Whilst I don't remotely trust either of them, I just find it incredibly bizzare that there is some kind of widespread belief that Donald Trump is trustworthy.

Furthermore I find it utterly mindblowing that a man like Trump could be the president of the most powerful country on earth. It's just fucking weird. Earth is sort of like some kind of weird dystopian pantomime.

If we're going to just get silly then can I suggest Timmy Mallet for next time?

Lol TRUMP won Florida! Lock her up! LOCK THE BITCH!

LOL You see that stripe of blue leaking into New Mexico and Colorado? That's where Trump is building the wall to stop inflow of blue people! It all makes sense now, haha he totally destroyed you, crai :(

reporting from Spanish Harlem. random reactions on the street, walking around, in bodegas, a local bar and a fried chicken joint. conversations tending to go something like this: "Trump is winning, y'all!" "Fuck both of them." Many more than you expect are actually saying "good!" Tiny sample size of course but not exactly what you'd expect what with media expectations and stereotypes that "minorities" (here, mostly Hispanic—various, but mostly Puerto Rican; Black; various immigrants including the Arab (Yemenese, yes, Muslim) run bodega I was in who were actually cheering for Trump) hate the man and would be flipping out.

Florida, Michigan and Wisconsin. If they go to Trump, and it's all I think within the margins now, it's pretty much over as far as I can see … unless we see some real surprises out west

He already won Florida and North Carolina is getting there. That bitch goes to jail, for a number of years equal to the number of blue votes. Brainless, arrogant, laughing monkey, how did she think she could win?

How did she think she couldn't, given all the assists from the media and the fact that she surrounds herself with a bunch of sycophants? I'm genuinely surprised. Pleased but not ecstatic 'cause fuck the both of them. If the polls hold that is.

plenty still to come but don't let that stop your premature, ugly gloating...

That is in fact one of the things that worries me greatly about Trump that he will manage to fuck up a lot of things and then the liberal reaction will be pretty much Unstoppable. And depending on what happens with the Supreme Court Justices within the next four years the outcome could be disastrous.

Still waiting on Michigan and Wisconsin, chill.
