As far as voting the incumbents out, im with you my man.

If only the majority of strict party line voting American sheeple had the balls to do it. It would be nothing less than the 2nd shot heard 'round the world. I've been a registered Independent(unenrolled to be accurate) from my first vote and have always voted for the challenger, regardless of party affiliation. Strict party line voting and loyalty has always baffled me.

Too bad Elizabeth Warren turned out to be another fraud. A few years back I applauded her for going after the big banks and CC companies. Then It was found that she lied about being a Native-American to land a $400K/yr,one class teaching gig at Harvard, hence the nickname "Fauxcahontas" Poof, another dream bubble bursts. Honest politician is an oxymoron. Somethings got to give so why delay the inevitable ? Vote every incumbent out of Congress and let the chips fall where they may. What's the worst that could happen ?

Eh she thought she had native American blood without doing research a lot of white people do, who gives a shit.

Who gives a shit ? How about a REAL Native-American who didn't get the job because she misrepresented herself. He/she may have the right to feel cheated. But ideology trumps truth in America today.

some real shit coming out about trump university (lol) now. allegations that he paid off republican lawmakers to avoid or drop criminal charges.

this the guy who's great because he's a 'washington outsider' and beholden to nobody?

fail. #notreallyresidentialmaterial.

So uh, I just found out California still has over a million Provisional and mail in ballots to count... That's like a quarter of all votes cast there. Bernie is only trailing her by 440k.

He's liar of course. Think Hillary doesn't? Lying=politicians

Except the University came out as saying it's not the reason she was hired. Her whitebread mom spun stories of their Native American ancestry and she bought it without doing any research. The whole "she claimed to be native american to fill an AA quota" came from Scott Walker, not the most trustworthy source.

I'm trying not to let my emotions get the better of me: I want to see what happens at the convention first and who Trump picks as a VP but God help me I'm flirting with the idea of voting for him. I think it's time to burn this fucker to the ground. If he chooses some Republican rat fuck like Christ Christie, Ben Carson, Ted Cruz, or Paul Ryan I'm out though.

I'm curious to know what feminists, especially those who have spent some time in gender studies and civil rights issues feel about Bill Clinton's wife's presumptive nomination. Because the over-arching message it seems to be sending is: "If you're white, rich, able-bodied, cisgender, heterosexual, English-speaking, and your husband becomes president first, then the sky's the limit, girls!"

Since the dawn of history, the world has had female leaders who came to power exactly the same way, so what is the difference? As for breakign barriers, Germany has Angela Merkel (elected and truly a good leader imo) and even recently, England had Thatcher (elected but ruined the country) and dozens of queens. Argentina had Eva Peron (elected only because of marriage). The first two truly broke barriers. Eva Peron did not, and look what she did to her country.

I grant that she is smart and works hard, but I could give the names of some cleaning ladies who work just as hard tyrign to support large families as single mothers while threatened with the hardship of poverty.

Until a woman who is not the wife of a former president is elected, the American gender barrier will still be there. If anythign, her candidacy hurts women's rights. I just don't see how Hold_Your_Nose_Hilary could be spun as a barrier breaker.

So uh, make that 3 million+ ballots still to be counted. This includes mail in and Provisional ballots, the latter of which should be heavily skewed in Bernie's favor. Looks like California ain't over yet!

sure. it's just that trump has taken it to levels we've never seen before. especially ironic because many of his supporters say they support him specifically because he's such a straight-shooter when he's quite the opposite.

People should vote by the issues, and not by the party. It is just passing the keys to your car to a drunk driver every time.

Pam Bondi in florida. I was just reading about this in the paper.

^ it's going to get better before it gets worse: Why the Trump University lawsuits could be catastrophic for Trump

Donald Trump is no stranger to lawsuits. During his career, he's been sued nearly 1,500 times and sued others even more than that. Right now, as the presumptive Republican nominee for president, he's the subject of more than 50 civil suits.

But the lawsuits over the defunct Trump University clearly have Trump rattled. Since February, he's made the judge in the case, Gonzalo Curiel, a target of racist insults, arguing that Curiel's Latino heritage means he can't judge fairly. Given that hearings and court dates are scheduled throughout the summer before a trial begins in November, the controversy isn't going away.

Trump has good reason to fear the lawsuits over Trump University: They put lie to a central plank of his campaign. The disappointed students suing him argue that Trump is not a wildly successful entrepreneur or a canny dealmaker but rather a fraudster who made promises he couldn't keep. The legal proceedings have already revealed the details of the Trump University scam. Thanks to an order from Curiel, they could also reveal a closely guarded secret: Trump's net worth.

Even worse, the targets of Trump University look very much like Trump's voters: middle-class Americans who think he can solve their problems and provide them with a better life. Trump's campaign rests on the promise that he will turn his nastiness outward in order to help the country — that he will, in his words, be "greedy for the United States." The Trump University case suggests that even when Trump was purporting to uplift others, he was mostly enriching himself.

Watching Liz Warren on Maddow and two thoughts pop into my head.

1) She chose to dress business casual over traditional Fauxcahontas deerskin.

2) Nice neck veins. I'm jealous.

I take back everything nice i ever said about her for working with that psycho bitch hillary. fuck her for her endorsement. she needs to be in the senate anyway so hopefully she declines the VP. I doubt reid would let it happen anyway. im sure hillary pulled some shady shit to get her endorsement but what in the actual FUCK?

^Bernie is going to end up endorsing Hillary in the end too. Have you guys not heard these people outside of this election season? They don't like the current regime of Democrats but they'll take it over the Republicans. Bernie has been doing his "brunch with Bernie hour" on the Thom Hartmann show for a really long time, he's talked about the importance of never letting the Republicans into office for decades. There's no way he doesn't endorse her in the end. I disagree with him and still won't vote for her though.

That is so true alasdair. It is scary to think that someone that "tries to pay as little taxes as possible" and is the subject of so many ongoing lawsuits will be able to lead a country. The fact that both Trump and Clinton have been involved in or are involved in ongoing fraud is scary. How could someone with such loose values ascend to the highest seat of power in the US?

The whole thing about pam bondi is that in FL the legislature is republican run, and these clowns will never create a committee to review any wrongdoing on her part. Governor Scott actually told reporters to direct any questions about Pam Bondi to trump university.

I seriously hope Sanders doesn't endorse Clinton. I do like the fact that Sanders running has created a discourse about socialism and liberalism. If he had not run, there would be a lot of topics that would never have been spoken about. Income inequality for one.
