By the way do you even live in Flint or are you the type of person that just stands on other peoples misfortunes to make people feel like you're a part of it as if it is somehow happening to you too? LOL Manipulation 101

As bad as it may seem in flint, they're still going to have a longer life span than the people of 500 years ago. Hell most of them are gonna be cashing in on lawsuit money any day now, so they gonna be "high on the hog". Furthermore, I was just watching a special about Flint on PBS and there was a family on it that had nicer shit than I do, and they didn't seem to be too afflicted either. If you think the residents of flint have it bad go take a walk in Somalia, then come here and tell me you wouldn't be begging to drink the water in flint, I know I would. Plus, the media has really cashed in on this flint situation too, we all know how they blow shit out of proportion, what makes you think this 'crisis' is any different?

But you can afford to cry and complain via the internet Mr. seinior Moderator? awwwweee

So basically, people in the US have no right to complain about anything because... Somalia? :D

No, you have every right to cry and complain, just like every child has the right to throw a tantrum in Toys R us when mommy doesn't buy them the toy they want. I'm just saying if you guys spent just half the time you do complaining on appreciating what you've got, you'd feel a lot better about yourselves. Not only that, but you might even get people to actually listen to you. Which in turn might just lead to you getting that shiny little toy you want.

But by all means, complain away. See how far it gets you hot rod.

Gosh damn, poor people are so annoying.

All I hear is "the gubermint this" "the gubermint that".

Do you people realize that even the poorest among ye have access to riches and luxuries far beyond anything the richest kings of 500 hundred years ago could never even dream of having. Yet you babies still moan and complain. "This Iphone 1 isn't good enough, I want the brand new Iphone 6" Or "my DSL isn't fast enough I want Gigabit internet like Google fiber"

All I hear is spoilt rotten babies crying because they didn't get the deluxe set. Boo hoo cry me a damn river.

You have access to clean running water, food, electricity, internet, Iphones, automobiles, air planes, amusement parks, and I can go on and on and on. Get over yourselves. Be thankful for what you've got and stop envying what you don't have. No one in this world owes you a damn thing. So get off your damn entitlement horse and show some fucking gratitude.

LOL OH please. You're probably reclining in a lazyboy, eating a damn hot pocket and flipping through channels on your 56 inch flat screen while your typing this on your mac book pro.

But by all means, you're so totally raped, violated and disenfranchised.

Boo hoo

Grow up kid.

I think you may have just contradicted yourself there GodandLove. Do you remember back in 2015 when you said this?

Generations that grow up in tyranny will have it the hardest, for instead of pursuing freedom and liberty, they'll be satisfied just counting their blessings. -GodandLove

Aww look, you even took the liberty of copywriting it, how cute. It seems now you've become just another bum counting his blessings. Get out of here with that law of attraction bullshit, positive thinking isn't feeding my starving belly.

So you are proposing that we don't complain about things that we see as wrong in our lives? That we don't try to improve our condition because people in Somalia have it worse? Just accept that we have it better than a lot of other people and that's that? I don't honestly believe that you think that, because that doesn't make a lot of sense. What about the people who are complaining not because they are materialistic and want more than they have, but because they don't actually have the necessities that they need? What about the people who are happy with what they have and don't want to lose it? Everyone puts effort into maintaining or improving his or her situation in life. This is really the most basic activity that people do in their lives.

I've lived in Flint. In any event how is recognizing misfortune and calling out those responsible for it a negative? Is everything so petty, or just political issues?

I'm not sure what "type" of person this makes me. The person ultimately responsible for the entire crisis works across the street from my house in the capitol building.

Of course we have more, and live longer than pepole 500 years ago. It is called progress. We had feudalism before....we are on our way back there. GodandLove: The problem is that people are unemployed and underemployed which leads to poverty...and on top of that the people that are working are running faster to stay in the same place. Don't compare us to 500 years ago, and don't compare us to somalia. What you should compare us to is modern westernized cultures.

I seriously hope Ted Cruz doesn't win the nomination. Just knowing he is/was close to winning the election shows me just how misinformed people are.

I just have to add my two cents for this discussion about living with or without paying tax.

I live in Finland, a country in which you pay 36% tax for 3500 euro income and 24% value added tax for pretty much everything you purchase as well as other taxes, and I still think that I get more worth by paying taxes than purchasing everything on my own.

I mean that we have tax funded healthcare, school system even for the university level, pretty useful unemployment service.

Paying taxes and having tax funded social services etc. definately has lead in to a fact that there is a low criminal activity rate as people don't have to rob others to be able to live.

I will rather pay taxes and be able to walk streets at the night instead of being mugged every corner.

Thanks, MrRoot. Sometimes Americans need these outside perspectives. The only one the idiots will remember is the false and doctored up "six month waiting list for an emergency such and such procedure", but still, this helps.

Yes, we want SOCIAL FUCKING INFRASTRUCTURE. FOR EVERYONE.

America first! Nationalism feels so damn good I'll admit. I'm officially for trump he is quit literally our first shot at person to hold the office that isn't a part of the establishment and isn't purchasable. After researching and paying much attention to it IMO he is doing this for the legacy and his ego. He is gonna make the hard choices and take it on the chin when people whine. Even if he sucks at it maybe he will burn it all down and force Americans to put some real thought into whom they elect.
Hilary is the most corrupt, Lyin Ted would never get anything done, and electing Bernie would be about the same as election Cruz but maybe he gets less done. Lol Bernie and quite frankly everyone except trump is unqualified. Politicians with no private sector experience have proven their uselessness IMO

You say this in nearly every post in here, despite the fact that trump is the embodiment of the establishment and the ruling class. How exactly does he represent you outside of his rhetoric? What has he done that make you feel as if he has your interests in mind?

And lol @ trump is not corruptible.

Politicians with no private sector experience have proven their uselessness IMO

I like my politicians like I like my airline pilots. Zero experience in the field and a megalomaniac complex.

Our economy is terrible Obama coming out having to brag about the great job he has done with the economy is proof. Also him blaming the slow growth on bush only goes so far. Trump has all the money he needs and unless he just has some evil hidden agenda he is the right man to apply an America first strategy. The truth is this country hemorrhages money and the fix is in place for that to remain. I can however appreciate the humanitarian aspect those on the left have with us employing people globally essentially, but I say enough is enough let's make it so producing things here that arnt nessisarily Fire brands is competitive/ possible.

indeed. one of trump's campaign tactics has been to stubbornly keep repeating claims which haev no basis in fact until people start repeating them as if they are true. facts are irrelevant.

i assume droppers is just following trump's lead. i guess if you just keep repeating a lie to yourself often enough, eventually you'll start to believe it...
