Is this substitution chemically possible? The 2-fluoro substituted amphetamines seem to retain the properties of the parent molecule rather well, if this substitution is possible with MDMA I would hazard to guess it would retain the magic of MDMA and skirt drug legislation...

I have a feeling lack of published synth route is the problem. Its not an easy analogue to make without using Safrole as the precursor.

It's certainly possible, but availability of the necessary precursors is a limiting factor.

Keep in mind that the 2 and 6 positions of MDMA are not equivalent. While 2-FMA and 6-FMA are one and the same, 2-fluoro-MDMA and 6-fluoro-MDMA are two distinct compounds. Both could be very interesting, but only the latter could be made from readily available precursors, as far as I can tell. Let's not get into any synthesis talk, or the thread will be closed.

The nomenclature gets a bit confusing once you add a fluorine. 6-Fluoro-MDMA is more correctly called 2-fluoro-4,5-MDMA, as the fluoro substituent takes priority. The other is 2-fluoro-3,4-MDMA.

This is ring fluorination, not fluorination of the methylenedioxy bridge, correct?

I expect fluoro-MDMA would act a lot like MDMA would.

I wonder if 2/6-fluoro-α-methyldopamine would be metabolised to similar nasties that cause neurotoxicity? If the days following 2-FA is anything to go by, then I'd assume such metabolites would be less toxic.

I'll have to pick up some 2-FA or 2-FMA and combo with MDAI to see how well it obliterates serotonin function...

I've done 2-FMA and MDAI. I've never done MDMA but it was an excellent combo, lots of euphoria, sociability and energy.

My doses were 150/40 with a booster of 70/25. Would recommend doses of 200/60 with booster of 100/35
