I have been smokeing synthetic cannabinoids in the form of herbal blends for the ast 12 months. Ive decided that it is causing alot of negative side effectsand its time for me to be done with it. I used to have a bad opiate problem, and was able to get myself off using kratom and smoking this stuff. In all honesty i didnt have a choice, i got put on probation. Well my first attempt at quitting i figured it wouldnt be much different than qitting cannabis, it was notably more difficult however. The main problems i really have are depression, lethargy, my appetite goes all over the place and major boredom.
What i wanted to know is has anyone else been through is? any suggestions?

It's pretty standard cannabinoid withdrawal, titrating down and keeping yourself busy will help a lot. Force yourself to eat and sleep.

Don't expect to feel 100% for at least 2 weeks to several months, your body needs to reset a bit.

Take the minimum amount of cannabinoids needed to facilitate eating and sleeping when you absolutely must have some. Avoid "recreational" usage and always strive to decrease your dose or skip a dose where possible. Basically, allow your body some time to adjust to decreased levels of cannabinoids coming in, instead of going cold turkey. This may backfire if you're not strong-willed.

The second time I ever quit cannabis I did it cold turkey and I can say it truly SUCKED (was growing and using about 3.5g/day minimum and up to 7g/day on the weekends with hash thrown in here and there).
Couldn't get a hard on for 2 days, was depressed as shit for about a week, had no appettie for about a month.
The next time I quit I had a job which allowed me to taper my smoking down to only at night. Smoked solely at night for about a week (once twice max down to >1g/day).
Saw a festival coming where I knew I would be tripping (and would be needing cannabis) so I told myself the festival would be the last time I would smoke (essentially wake up smoke the hangover off come home and crash).
Long story short when I tapered my smoking down to a managable level it made the inital quitting (going completley with out cannabis) so much easier.
Less cravings/boredom, more appetite (as opposed to cold turkey), and an all around better mental state.
The only time I truly crave smoking now is when I am drunk and I am constantly around groiwng cannabis as I am medical provider for a few patients (got 8000+watts going).
All in all tapering is a much more effective form of quitting than cold turkey like the above poster said just don't let it back fire on you.
Create a tapering plan and set an effective date that you want to quit and make sure you have some form of support!

Thanks for te replies guys, lots of help. I plan on beginning my titrating tomorrow, im hoping in 1-2 weeks i will be at a point where i will be able to stop. My plans are to smoke tomorrow morning, and go as long as i can, hopfully until tomorrow night. If the urge is to bad before then i plan to just take 1 or 2 hits to calm myself. Im hoping i can get myself to just morning and night here pretty soon then from there to just mornings. Does this sound like it might be an effective plan?
I also was wondering about supplements and things of the like that may be helpful with combating the side effets. Ive heard of 5-htp as being good for depression and sleep, though im not sure about the dosage. Ive also heard about DHEA AND DLPA. I dont know if these may help or not.
