(10mg Afobazole) - First Time: A novel Anxiolytic drug having antidepressant effects.

I just want to mention an anxiolytic drug with a novel mechanism of action. Its anxiolytic effects rivals that of the benzodiazepines.
It is russian so its not available in the states or some parts of Europe. Its name is Afobazole. Its mechanism of action is varied seems to stimulate sigma receptors, Melatonin receptors, upregulate gaba, act slightly on serotonin and also release brain derived neurotrophic factors. Its main mechanism seems to lie in sigma agonist effect and as a melatonin agonist.
I took my first 10mg pill today and the past few hours I would say my anxiety substantially reduced, I felt mildly euphoric and very happy,and stimulated after taking the pill but now I feel a calm mentally.It seems to act directly on my mind like my thinking slowed down though i retain clarity of mind , no racing thoughts ,no worries its like a block, my mood lifted as well and my mood seemed to brighten. I felt very slight sedation with slight stimulation, also all body effects of anxiety tight muscles and racing heart went away. The feel I like the most is my mind . I retain my clarity of mind and im not hazy and very sedated as I would be on benzodiazepines but I feel that anti anxiety effect on my mind that benzos give me without their side effect. I also feel like my mood seems stabilized no up and down swings. My mind seems to be blank and no anxiety whatsoever, however my cognitive abilities are intact.
Afobazole is sold in Russia and certain parts of Europe, It is a selective anxiolytic without side effects such as sedation. It can be taken with alcohol. It does not effect driving
Afobazole if taken with valium will increase the effects of valium and other benzodiazepines so lower doses may be taken, it upregulates GABA receptors. So it may help with the withdrawal of benzos.
This is a very unique anxiolytic its my first day and I notice benefits I will report more on it later.

I will tell you that I took my second tablet after that first and yea again after taking the tablet i felt a mild stimulation and then after this I felt a very extreme calm from the second 10 mg tablet its amazing cause its the first day and in my prescribers leaflet it indicates to feel maximal effects it must allow to build up for 5 to 7 days. I might just keep at 2 10 mg tablets instead of 3. Because this is a very selective anxiolytic and the anxiolytic effect is very strong even at just 2 tablets I feel as though its enough for me, I want my supply to last even though I will be getting a new packet soon.
You know what I like about this? man it feels like my mind is a lot clearer and the fog of stress lifted and it feels like I can concentrate better, it is amazing that its the first day. I feel a lot calmer and when I am speaking to people I dont have any anxiety whatsoever im able to follow conversations better and approaching people is easier there are less barrier. This feels like 1 mg of xanax but without any of the side effects or addiction risk and yea it seems to brighten my mood, also makes me less introverted I can just walk on the street and my mind will be blank, seems to boost clarity of mind and concentration as well seems to have neuroprotectice effects.

THE information leaflet indicates no muscular relaxation properties or any sedative effects however because it deff very effectively reduces mental anxiety and mental stress and fog and with the lifted mental stress I immediately felt that my body was loser and i feel more relaxed, however really the sedative effects are mild.I need to mention I took Kanna,Sceletium Tortuosum yesterday and that is a herbal SRI and it seems you can mix Afobazole with SSRI or SRI because its mechanism of action is different targeting different receptors. I didnt take any Kanna today however the Kanna seems to linger in my body for up to 24 hours but there are no negative interactions with the Afobazole except a bit more of a stimulated feeling.

I will tell you that Kanna, Sceletium Tortuosum is amazing. I still take it but I do not take it everyday rather I take it when I get phases where I end up depressed or anxious and I find that Kanna nomatter how bad I feel tends to uplift my spirit and mood, I have never ever found Kanna to have an addictive drive, its addictive potential is zero, however the buzz on Kanna though Mild I enjoy the Kanna buzz more than Cocaine or XTC cause also a lot of the coke is shit and I feel crap the next day after coke but Kanna can get me a better buzz and the next day I wake up feeling okay no crash,hangovers etc. infact I have even taken kanna post mdma and I find it completely gets rid of the MDMA comedown , actually i will say taking Kanna made me give up worse things and made me stay away from stuff like Cocaine and XTC cause I have a mild herbal buzz that I really enjoy and also I never smoke weed. I am so happy I found out about Kanna , cause really its one of the best Herbal antidepressants out there, and because I can take it daily and allow for its effect to build up thanks to its reverse tolerance . Also Kanna seems to have a low incidence of any side effects. SONN I remember telling you about kanna and once again I found a new brand of Kanna straight from South Africa and I dont always take Kanna for its therapeutic effect but I also take Kanna for its buzz. I enjoy the Kanna Buzz. I mean you have to truly feel the Kanna and I think a lot of the stuff out there is not good kanna or its marketed as kanna but might not even contain enough of the alkaloids to get you a nice effect or anxiolytic and antidepressant effects. I got Kanna from south africa known as Big tree sceletium I got a bottle of 60 /100 mg pills. The first day I took it , I felt mild effects from it but the second day due to the reverse tolerance I felt really good, I had a epiphany on Kanna this happened last week before I started up on Afobazole. The epiphany I felt on Kanna was that I felt so happy to be alive and I had such a content feeling. I took 4 of the 100 mg capsules and I felt stimulated,Happy and Euphoric the whole day. Mind you I didn/t take all four of the 100 mg at once but I divided the doses throughout the day to prolong the Kanna high. I always felt a Euphoria come up after each dose, it lasted for 10 to 15 minutes , I felt really good but it was a very stimulating experience like strong stimulation that night I couldn/t sleep due to consuming so much.
Retrospective summary of Kanna=
Decreased Depression in life
Decreased Anxiety in life
Helps to control ones eating and lowers appetite
makes you feel good , energized stimulated
It is not addictive but its good to have around especially if you realize that you may have stressful events coming up, it lets you slide through that easier
If you get really good kanna it can have recreational potential and you can enjoy the buzz on it
Over time the benefits of Kanna do not change , However Kanna initially has reverse tolerance so for you to fully feel it you need to take it for 2-4 days and you need to have good kanna. And then afterwards you can use Kanna for up to one or two months daily for Depression or anxiety after that you build up a tolerance and its effects weaken and you have to take a one or two month break before you can use it again. This is the reason its not addictive. Also Kanna has a plateau to its high you can only get so high on Kanna so even if you end up taking too much your high on Kanna has a limit as opposed to other drugs , Last week I had one of my strongest highs with Kanna before I started up on Afobazole. The Euphoria I had always lasted for 10 to 15 minutes but it was very pleasurable and at one point I felt very content to be alive, I never had a feeling like that on any substance not MDMA,not Alcohol nothing only did the Kanna give me such a content feeling.
The recent Kanna I used was big tree sceletium , its from south africa, They are 100 mg capsules. Its good Kanna but dont take too much cause there are some side effects, such as come up anxiety, overstimulation and insomnia and nausea these are some of the same side effects with MDMA cause it stimulates serotonin receptors however there is no crash or comedown.Its strong especially in the 200mg to 400 mg dosage range.
I also have 8 grams of Kanna powder laying around in my flat, this is from a different source and mind I tell you the highs between these two Kannas are different . Between the powdered kanna and the big tree sceletium. The powdered Kanna i have is way more therapeutic and less recreational and it causes a very very mild Euphoria , the Mood lift and the anti anxiety effects are there but this powdered kanna has less side effects as compared to the big tree sceletium. THe powdered kanna has a more calm feeling to it and a focused buzz and a good anxiolytic effect but the euphoric effects and the stimulative effects are weaker rather it has a sedative effect the big tree sceletium has no sedative effect.
The reason for these differences between the kanna , is because kanna is grown in different regions of south africa and they yield different Alkaloid content and different ratios of the Alkaloids and that influences the effects of the Kanna. The main alkaloids in Kanna are Mesembrine, Mesembrenone and Tortuosamine. And depending on the ratio and the amount of the different alkaloids in the kanna you can expect different effects from stimulation and Sedation to full blown Euphoria, and MDMA like effects. I also think that Kanna has a different effect on different people that some people seem more sensitive to its effects, Also one more note the person is more sensitive to the effect of Kanna if he is depressed,anxious or stressed then the effects of kanna are really noticeable. Always get Kanna from a good source or from South Africa

Anyways I mentioned the Kanna, but I am not taking Kanna anymore, I have it laying around for later on after I stop the Afobazole. I am not taking it with the Afobazole because it seems that afobazole seems to reduce the effects of the kanna and the Afobazole is enough for anxiety. When I take them together the effects of Kanna are reduced. The Euphoria it provides and the mood lift and the effects of Afobazole alone are good enough for me.I took them together the first day I started Afobazole:D.

Anyways its my 5 or 6 day taking Afobazole. I take 30 mg on some days and 20 mg on other days. The recommended dosage is 30mg a day and the maximum dose per day is 60 mg a day. A lot of people report effects of Afobazole even on 20mg a day. It takes a few days for its effects to build up. Its an decent anxiolytic with some Antidepressant effects as well.
What I noted these past few days is a reduction in anxiety, all forms of anxiety. I feel outgoing and more social and I feel good. The prescribers information is in Russian and I translated it into English basically Afobazole has no sedative effects which is true its not like Benzos where you feel sedated in fact I would say I feel a bit more alert and my cognitive functions are better after taking Afobazole , I feel more clear minded and I feel that stress and anxiety are effecting me a lot less mentally. Also the physical side effects of stress and anxiety such as tight throat, racing heart , stomach aches and tense muscles those seem to decrease. My whole body feels more relaxed after taking Afobazole, I feel relaxed both mentally and Physically from this. I sleep really good at night too, and I take a nap in the day as well.
Afobazole its not Euphoric or up for abuse as benzos. It just really helps with anxiety and it takes a while for the effects to build up like 3-4 days and then the effects seem consistent just a very good reduction in anxiety and boosted cognitive functions and also increased energy levels. It seems to have no side effects at all. Basically seems like a antidepressant but without any of the side effects and seems to be more tailored for reducing anxiety. Really Afobazole is a very neat compound non addictive, no side effects and the main thing is a good reduction in anxiety at low doses , I am taken 20 to 30 mg each day some days 30 mg some days 20mg. The pills are 10 mg and I always take them after food. I also notice a mood boost on Afobazole I am more outgoing and I talk to people more, I am more social. I dont suffer from social anxiety but I could see this as very good for somebody with social anxiety. I also notice immediately after taking the Afobazole I feel a little tired and it really helps with sleep as well.

Afobazole is best described as being very mild its almost like your on nothing, like you didn/t take anything. Afobazole decreases anxiety very good. It boost mood and there are no side effects that i have noted. I continued with my Afobazole and I am currently on my second week. I consider Afobazole a very unique and interesting compound. Lately I have been upping my dosage to 30 mg per day. Each 10 mg tablet is taken after a meal and damn this afobazole works so good that I decided to buy another 60 tablet 10mg pack. I would usually take 20 mg per day but these past few days I took 30mg per day and I find it provides very strong anxiolytic effects and a nice mood boost. It is also serotonergic because I had sex the other day and I lasted so damn long like 45 minutes its unbelievable in the end it got irritating cause i didnt finish, so I think Afobazole anxiolytic effect is also serotonergic. It is unique targeting the sigma receptor, Melatonin receptors, GABA and even serotonin. And its very good cause its subtle but so powerful and you can drink it with alcohol and mix it with other substances without a problem. I took it with KAVA today and the mood lift and Euphoria are way stronger and also there is increased sensitivity to lights.

Afobazole has mood boosting effects really gets rid of stress makes you feel good. In doesn/t really take a while for the effects to build up you feel it instantly. However initially lower dosages get you anxiolytic effects dosages such as 20mg but now i have to take the prescribers information leaflet which indicates 30mg or 10 mg after each meal 3 times per day. Its a mood boost, with anxiolysis and some energy boosting as well yes this is the unique thing about afobazole the stress is still there but i somehow am managing it better and it seems that the stress is releasing into positive energy due to afobazole. I just feel good, it gets rid of depression, I feel like I am getting a better grip on things. 30 mg is a very good daily dosages though even up to 60 mg per day is allowed. It should be taken for a minimum for 20 days but the treatment can be prolonged to 40 and then 60 days if needed. But after that a break is needed.
I have times when I am suffering from Depression and anxiety more so anxiety and because it only happens to me occasionally, I really dont take therapy for it, I would rather take something herbal Kava kava or kanna or perhaps a mild Psychotropic such as Afobazole. I dont really have the anxiety or stress that requires benzos but i dont find things like lemon balm or valerian root good for my anxiety rather what is mentioned above.

Anyways I find Kanna to be a strong natural anxiolytic and afobazole is good in its effects as well as well as the kava kava.
Afobazole seems to boost the effects of GABAergics, I mixed it with KAVA today and the mix is awesome.

I wanted to update as to how I am doing with the Afobazole, Currently I am on day 15 of using Afobazole today I took 3 of the 10 mg tablets other days I only take two , I switch it up nonetheless each day I take at least 2 tablets . Its the 15th day that I am on Afobazole and the effects seem to have increased in intensity, I notice a boost in both physical and mental energy, I notice that the effects of stress are drastically reduced. I feel a lot more outgoing , I am able to converse with people a lot easier, I basically feel zero zero social anxiety, I am able to approach women with high confidence and just speak, I do not feel any discouragement or any social anxiety whatsoever. Afobazole really seems to reduce all forms of anxiety. It seems to help with Concentration a lot, as there is way less anxiety and when I am reading something or doing any type of school related work my concentration and memory are improved others have noticed memory problems for me concentration and memory are boosted due to lowered anxiety levels. I notice sociability is increased and social anxieties are reduced. All physical symptoms of anxiety are nonexistant, I never ever feel my heart race, tense muscles or GI discomfort before any kind of anxiety provoking situation. As I stated before a boost in both physical and mental energy is noted and antidepressant effects are noted. I had a presentation today in school and I had 3 professors in front of me, for most people and even me sometimes it could cause a little bit of anxiety but I felt nothing, and I really preformed very well.
This is a very unique substance further research is needed and its mechanism of action is very puzzling nonetheless it is very highly effective for stress,depression and anxiety states and I think it could be used as a general mood booster as well even if you do not suffer from the listed conditions.
Russians do produce intriguing compounds, I wonder howlong the antidepressant effects last on this, The manufacturers prescribers info indicates the treatment course should be between 20 to 40 days perhaps the effects lessen after 40 days. But right now I am deff feeling very nice antidepressant effects, OF better note this has no sexual side effects whatsoever, I had sex, I masturbated etc, all is good. Afobazole has a very unique mechanism of action binding to melatonin receptors, having Gabergic effects,It also acts as a Sigma Agonist.The Sigma agonist effect is significant as Prozac, Fluvoxamine and DXM share Sigma agonist. Sigma agonist seem to increase brain activity and decrease depression and anxiety.

The wakeful vendor is definitely and seriously overpriced, as well as the russian one. A box of these pills costs less than 5$ if I'm right and they sell it for maybe 8 times of what they pay for... have to look for a better source, but thanks for the reports. Afobazole definitely is a very interesting unique compound I need to try.

Sampled the other anxiolytic, mebicar, some months ago and was a bit disappointed because I didn't feel that much at all, no side effects but also no effects.. but have to say that I didn't use before specific situations where I would have had to face anxiety so maybe it just is very clean and selective ... or I should have dosed higher. Unfortunately my girlfriend recently threw all my stash away.... thanks...

But these nootropic peptides, selank and semax are truly interesting. Selank has some unique relaxing thing to it that is somewhere in-between a GABAergic and an opioidergic. As it works by inhibiting the degradation of endorphins and/or enkephalins, this isn't really surprising but it works quite well.

Semax is effective too, but for me it was too rough. Had a strong rebound effect kinda like what you get with methylphenidate, but of a different quality ... mainly consisting of being overwhelmed by sensory input, full-on ADD.

Inconspicuous but really shining on the long run is P21, that's unfortunately currently sold out in Europe. This peptide doesn't have real acute effects, but when I dosed higher at some occasion (well thought it was bunk / didn't work and just used the spray bottle to moisten my nose) I felt waves of relaxation with a pronounced serotonergic feeling to it. Can't explain this better, but I've read from others that they too think it increases 5-HT synthesis. And when used daily it's definitely neurotrophic, cleared up my thoughts and think sensory input became more detailed - 'HD vision' and more pronounced sense of smell. But it's transient and 1-2 weeks after the bottle was empty the effects subsided.

Would it be worth it to buy 1 box just to see if it works as your guaranteed a pure product? I think it would be... for a little trial.

Could you explain why you think it's dangerous in the long term? Just because it's a huge molecule this doesn't make it dangerous - it's a peptide that gets rapidly broken down after administration.
