It's been a long time since I posted here - hello to anyone I have corresponded with or know from the distant past.

I am interested in the state of the UK hash scene, specifically traditional imported hash.

About fifteen years ago I used to know some older gentlemen who sold a wide variety of hash ranging from terrible crap which resembled MDF to some truly sublime bits of smoke - higher grade Indian and Afghani hash, for example. Their stock varied constantly and I got the impression that there was a lively but inconsistent market involving various other older gentlemen, mostly in their 60s and 70s. Something fucking brilliant would pop up and go in a week or two, then that would dry up and it'd be MDF only for a month while these people scrabbled around and made enquiries among the other old geezers. Some of these people are now dead and I don't have links to that scene any more.

For a while I was able to get comparable hash on DNMs - Malana Cream, Charas, Himalayan, actual Lebanese and high end Moroccan of various types. I stopped using those for a few years and when I looked again recently it seems as though the whole game has changed - I just don't see legit looking high end traditional hash anywhere.

There is a lot of single strain micron filter first world produced blah blah blah and what looks like low end Moroccan about, on markets and in real life, but I love high end traditional hash. The type you smoke a lentil-sized amount of then stare at the ceiling for the duration of an entire album while floating in and out of a dream world. That floral / peppery taste and perfume. Narcotic but not too sedating. Gently psychedelic. A mental dance. A mix of genetics from some vast field of straggly landraces guarded by brown men with AK47s rather than Runtz #14 x Gorilla Pube Pie knocked together by douches in baseball caps.

Is this shit still out there in the UK? Has it all been replaced by what's basically Cali type hash? I'm not asking for sources, I'm just interested to know if this specific market has died away with the older heads. Give me some hope. Bom Shiva muthafuckas.
 
I fear that that's too cheap for a good traditional product, but cheers! There's a lot of fake stuff with that name attached too. Good on him if it's legit.

Any hardcore hash fans I've known are proud of their product's origin and love to discuss its relative merits. There's always a batch from the distant past which anything amazing is 'almost, but not quite as good as'. It's cultish.
With all due respect I don't think hash is your area of expertise and if your mate's 'Nepali' is under 100 a zip then it isn't his either.
 
I don't smoke anymore so last weekend when I saw some hash it was the first bit for a while.

The stuff I was getting early last year was blonde, fluffy at body temp and melted on the tip of your finger providing a high somewhere between "seat-belts on lads" and "fuuuuuuuuuuck me sideways with a cactus".

Some friends grabbed a bit off some lad while I was with them last weekend and were saying they got the good shit but it looked like a camel turd, burned like carpet and smelled half hashy and half like a freshly ploughed field. Cheap mass produced morrocan black at its "finest".

I can't say for sure that means the quality has dropped across the board because my sources are my sources and their sources are their sources but I also don't care enough to see what my guys are stocking when I don't smoke the shit anymore. So I am forced to assume the worldwide hash scene is dead and will be willfully ignoring any evidence to the contrary plzkthxbai.

Lucky as long as THC stay illegal, but tolerated.
Import Hasj is everywhere, big city s better then rural.

Logical as it comes mostly through the water.
But if, well Dutch are incredibly slow at times.
While we are in most cases pretty pronto and correct.

But legalizing will take ages, obviously is on purpose.
So King-Hassan and Black Bombay are around.

But as the rest of the world is mostly been legalizing it.
And the dutch as one of the last, we are from then on
totally depended on legal produced hasj,
or illegal black market stuff.

Lucky we be last, and maybe even after;
Morroco, Lebanon, Aghanistan, Pakistan, Nepal, India
and some i forgot. Because if legal you can import it.
If it meets up to Dutch standards.

While now they won t give shit. Good standards indeed.
If people smoke parts off Camel turds. Just cause its illegal.
Its ok, when legal. Wow that s different :poop: call the police.

Worked in a coffeeshop owned by a Moroccan.
He would have chopped my head off,
would i have torched his Polm Hasjish.

It was either in his back-pocket or on the Coffee machine.
The Polm, which is the high grade, under Kief,
but above Blond And Black. And like any good hasj at body temp,
gets soft. Like Black Bombay, Nepal Temple balls or Lebanon Red.

Only those where soft before touching it.

The only hash I can find (that is worth smoking, that is) is very cheap (usually 4-6GBP per g) and is soft if kept in your pocket or if ambient temp is not too cold.
It is medium brown in colour and doesn't have any funky smell at all when smoked.
This is true for what I can find on DNM and on the streets but mind you I am an immigrant so I do not have a big network of plugs, especially no old timers that would be more likely to have some high quality import hash.

Sounds like cleanish low grade Moroccan commercial then - definitely a lot of that around on street and DNMs, sometimes claiming to be something fancier. It's an honest smoke if sold at that price and with accurate expectations.
 
I used to get cheap hash for edibles - used to be about £100 for 50 grams it was good but then I got stiffed and the cheap hash has gone. Moved onto Rick Simpson oil and D9.
