what is harmful or scary about dudes in women's clothes reading books to kids? if this wasn't a culture war thing, and it just so happened that a friggin librarian that was hosting story hour for elementary schoolers happened to be trans and dressed expressively, i bet many of the same naysayers would probably not be up in arms about it.

[sexually explicit stuff (which i also find at least inappropriate) aside]

I'm not allowed to make that thread nor do I particularly want to. Just because I think a Jewish criminal mafia is a massive problem, it's not THE problem that's to blame for everything in the world etc.

Just like Bud Light, Target has now upset a lot of normies who don't follow politics. Customers are just wondering why there's a kids LGBT section right at the front of the store and now they have their little child asking them what "tucking" is. They're experiencing a boycott and losing sales so they're moving the LGBT stuff away into a corner. With Bud Light it's not just a boycott, they've effectively destroyed their brand. It's now known as the "gay beer". And considering that LGBT people are such a small % of the population, it's sometimes confusing why a company would make such a risky business decision by potentially alienating a large part of their audience. Some of us know the reason why - ESGs etc. so it's basically a form of social engineering (if something is natural then it doesn't need to be normalized). But companies are finally starting to experience a backlash with people who are sick of the rainbow stuff. They might not even have any problems with gay people, they're just sick of the public propaganda and where it's going with the children. So this upcoming Pride month should be the most interesting yet. I bet there's a lot of CEOs sweating their balls off.

As for trans genocide - the suicide rate for trans individuals is highest post-surgery so really the medical industry should be blamed for any alleged genocide. And the way they abandon and shun de-transitioners is appalling. Also the majority of trans murders are black men killing black transgenders.

Seeing a trans at a grocery store is clearly different than injecting them into school systems that influence children

The question is why do you feel it's necessary to put trans/drag performers in front of children?
We should err on the side of caution when it comes to protecting the innocence of children.
Plenty of child molesters will use this to their advantage (they have already hired some convicted sex offenders as drag queen story readers).

Should we really trust your opinion on how to best protect children when you think of them as snotty little brats?

drag queens aren't trans by the way (gotta be the hundredth time I've said that). They are crossdressing men, who until around five years ago performed exclusively in gay night clubs.

they didn't use language in the law that excluded trans people or beyonce. the law is vague, stupid, and clearly can be used to go after trans people (and it seems to me to be inspired by transphobia and homophobia).

nobody said anything about "necessary".

"why should it be precluded?" is my question.

are we also going to ban clergy from reading to kids? and men? since men are the biggest demographic of child molesters. is it really about keeping kids safe from CSA? then education is of utmost importance.
