Because the meaning of life is to procreate, being gay means that you can't procreate, therefor you're disabled. It might not be a good idea to encourage people to remain disabled and proud of their disability.
People have gender dysphoria, they don't like themselves and see gender transitions are a way to fix that. Their solution is to mutilate their body and inhibit their ability to reproduce. A better solution would be to take gender affirming hormones and work towards being a better member of their sex, instead of trying to transition into a different gender. The trans movement, to me, is akin to telling a suicidal person to kill themselves instead of improve their life.
In the same way we shouldn't discriminate against people in wheel chairs, we shouldn't discriminate against gay and trans people, but it's important to keep in mind that they're disabilities and should be attempted to be overcome instead of using them as a crutch to explain away an individuals disability.
Most gay people are gay as a result of hormone imbalances in the womb, these can be overcome with hormone injections, and can be prevented, but not if we keep romanticizing these disabilities.
I remember being a mentally ill loser when I was younger, I had zero testosterone and often related more with women than men, and was very suicidal. If the trans movement was around back then, I'd likely have transitioned into a women in my teen years. Instead I just worked on myself and got to the point where I felt like a man, and I'm glad that I did. I feel bad for the children out there who hate themselves and see transitioning as a way to fix that, they're being permanently robbed of a decent life with this false promise of an easy fix.
I understand what I've said is extremely controversial and will make people angry but it's the truth as far as I know.
