Does anyone know if these are active? I was at the library today and came across about some β,β-difluorotryptamine's that were synthesized, but there wasn't any information about activity, and online all I can find is some "Journal of Fluorine Chemistry" artical.

I'd suspect they're not, but what do I know?

You could run into some kind of potent and lasting enzym inhibitor with this judging by the structure.Plus its almost a fluoroethylamin which all should better be left aside.(search also for the 2C-EF thread).

But then it could be totally devoid of any toxicity.

Here's Shulgins comments about a 2C-EF (not synthed): And I'll bet you dollars to doughnuts, that if one were to make the two-carbon analog 2,5-dimethoxy-4-(2-fluoroethyl)-phenethylamine, it would be every bit as much a treasure and ally as is 2C-B or 2C-I. In fact, I am sure enough about this prediction that I am willing to name the stuff 2C-EF. It will be easily made from 2C-B by the same reaction scheme that was used above for DOEF. And I will even guess that its activity level will be in the 20-30 milligram area.

From #065 in PIHKAL.

N-C-C-F spells trouble if you ask me, F- might be just enough of a crap leaving group to prevent mustards mind. Imagine your DNA being alkylated with tryptamines! Maybe you and your descendants would trip for ever more! =D

Or more likely you'd get cancer and die. :p

Damned, wheres that thread about 2C-EF?Also searched with 4-(2-fluoroethyl)-2,5-dimethoxyphenethylamine as f&b names it-I remember it was he who started the thread...but no success.

^ Looked through all the posts I started and I can't find one about 2C-EF (although I found this one and it brought a smile to my face! :D)

Try searching with 2,5-dimethoxy-4-(2-fluoroethyl)phenethylamine (yes I know it's not IUPAC-ish as fluoroethyl comes before methoxy, but obviously I just saw the 'd' and thought,"that should go first". Probably on drugs when I posted them! =D), as it turns out I actually called it...

Fuckin' millions of posts though

2-Fluoroethyl stuff

For finding this you admittedly need to understand bulbies wicked brain first-at least I found the thread before him =D =D =D =D

"The lost 2C-B derivative" - and he REALLY started with 4-(2-fluoroethyl)... %) strike 2 ...

Maybe the compound should be re-evaluated,I could have been too much preconditioned by the toxicity of the other mentioned fluoroethyl series,so many rats died and even a monkey :( But frankly I just didn't like 2C-EF.Altough the combination exp. clearly put the nail into the coffin, still wondering how I came to do it ...

Back to the compound of the thread, just got knowledge of several (big pharma) projects using diff. 2,2-Difluoroethylamines as precursors, but no futher details known.Maybe its for Agro?
