Russel Brand... your thoughts?

Wow.

I'm not an expert on such things but clearly a rented chauffeur-driven vehicle (that 'brand new car' luster is the give-away) and just look at the single man 'close security detail'! Not a group of totally unmemorable people in well tailorered suits but crucially cut so PDWs may be concealed, but ONE geezer in a tight leather jacket and what I suspect is a dead rat on his head.

I would love someone to ID that geezer as one he's totally at odds with the image Brand was attempting to radiate but he clearly has no experience. One is not a detail and the only way one can work is if that officer has a ranged weapons (gun).

So in essence Brand made himself LOOK like a criminal who is trying but failing to appear a professional of some sort.

I bet anyone who will take it £1 that the security geezer is an ex-boxer or something of that ilk. He certainly isn't a licenced SIA member as they are legally required to wear ID.

Apparently the 'rat pack' of journalisst who end up filming Brand's frequent court appearences are still puzzling out who the guy is.

Any ideas?

FYI he doesn't turn up in the USA so he is likely British. Hope it's not a BLer ;-)

Update - the bouncer IS an ex-boxer! Specifically a 'friend' of Tyson Fury (ex boxer) and so is almost certainly part of Britian's traveller community.

In retrospect, people who grew up in or entered that community would have good reason not to be photographed. Close ups of the guys neck tattoos are clearly a 'cover up'.
