Heroin Taking a day off of sobriety

First post but have been lurking around these forums since I was a teenager. I recently turned 40 and have been saying for years that if I can make it until now and find good dope I would take a day off. I've been on suboxone for 10 years now. I relapsed once 4 years ago on street shit and one bag took 4 doses of narcan to bring me back. Currently on 8-16mg a day of suboxone. Usually take one under the tongue and snort the other.

I have secured some good #4 have a friend to babysit with Narcan on hand, all needed supplies and a mg scale. I plan on doing it this saturday. Gonna cut my suboxone dose to 4mg Tues/weds then 2mg Thurs and none Friday.

I actually don't want to die this time so what would a good dose be for me(IV). I'm 40 now and started IV when I was 15 and was on and off until around 32. I already know the bupe has ruined my tolerance so going to try and have as little in me as I can before I do it.

Yes I know how stupid this is but my minds already made up and it's bought and paid for. I'm 5"9' 220lbs. Just looking for some feedback and will report back on how it went when I do it.

Which was your casual heroin dose years ago ? Now u need to be extremely responsible cause heroin without fentanyl in it is almost nonexistent.

It's not from the street. It's from a reputable vendor. I have test strips for fent xyalazine and nitazene and if its positive I won't do it. I've been in the hospital 3 different times on morphine and switched right back to subs after. My friend is keeping it on her and flushing whatevers left at the end of the night.

Ok it sounds like responsible way of using one of the more "risky" drugs but if it will be real and without any cut, injected in a way like it should be it is not more dangerous than taking line of cocaine...but definitelly much more pleasurable ( at least I would definitelly prefer heroin over cocaine ).

Definitely want to be safe about this. I absolutely refuse to use anything off the street ever again. My friend is going to stay with me for 24 hours after and make sure I get back on subs again. I know 24 hours is short but I've used subs multiple times in shorter times after using and never gone into PW. Just need to know what would be a safe dose to start with. Was thinking of starting with 20mg and seeing how it hits me. I have a lot of experience with opiates I just never used them responsibly and could use some advice on what safe dosing would be after being on subs for this long.

Was thinking of starting with 20mg and seeing how it hits me. I have a lot of experience with opiates I just never used them responsibly and could use some advice on what safe dosing would be after being on subs for this long.

Unfortunatelly, i used hydromorphone 97% pure powder from pill factory and it is equal in potency to heroin but i have never used IV.
I have only smoked hydromorphone, morphine and oxycodone powders, took oral morphine, tramadol, codeine, dihydrocodeine and had experience with buprenorphine and fentanyl patches so I really don't know what is right dose of diamorphine IV for somebody like u - used to buprenorphine .

But starting with 20-30mg sounds like reasonable dosage.
The strange thing about opioids is that some of the potent ones ( like heroin ) are by many people compared to low potency one - tramadol, because they both lasts a little bit longer than morphine and they are both little bit more energetic. But they are still relaxing and producing peace of mind. Just use the right dose. And the right dose is very individual.
For example 100mg of tramadol makes me much more relieved than 10mg of morphine.
But with tramadol u cant take more than 400 without additional anticonvulsant meds to prevent seizures...With morphine u can take 200mg orally and with tolerance u will probably be ok.

I hope somebody experienced with IV of higher than morphine potency opioids will provide little bit more of detailed information.
But your idea of 20mg sounds very responsible to me.

It's to this day still the best euphoria I've ever experienced and it's what made me fall in love with opiates.

Pretty much spent all of high school smoking weed and snorting/popping pills. When I was 15 we drove my friends fugitive brother to Virginia and he shot us up for the first time.

I miss the feeling but I don't miss what I did. I just want to feel that bliss I love so much one more time.

I think I'll be fine. My mental health right now is extremely good. I don't want to become an every day user again and absolutely refuse to do tranq/benzo dope/fent. I've been on morphine 3 different times(one for over a week)and came out of the hospital not actively seeking and got back on subs. When I was in the hospital they were allowing me a dose of morphine every 2 hours and I was watching the clock down to the second to hit the call nurse button lol. Once I got out though I knew I didn't want to go back to that and started subs again.

I know how addiction works and know that no matter how strong willed you think you are the habit can come back any time. I know my mental health and will power don't mean shit vs heroin addiction. I know all the risks of doing this but I decided I was gonna do this 3 years ago and have been waiting. Hopefully it turns out ok and I don't go back to what I was but I'm confident it won't.

If it does let it be a lesson to anyone else thinking about doing the same thing.
