otc drugs have came in clutch for me many times, fuck they still are keeping me sane
diphenhydramine, dextromethorphan, propylhexedrine, levomethamphetamine, etc
these have been helping me for the last few months whenever i couldnt get my hands on illegal substances
and lets be honest a lot of us have been at that point in time when nobody answered our calls, when nobody would sell, when your supply went dry and if you were desperate these drugs came to save the day
ill be fucking pissed if the government takes this shit away from me

Imo the most sustainable opioidergics, GABAergics, cannabinoids and stimulants are all OTC and uncontrolled. As in they're as legal as Vitamin C from the pharmacy.

If I am using them, I'm in really fucking bad shape and probably near death and certainly need to be back in rehab.

The last time I used DXM was simply part of a suicide attempt involving that drug only because I ran out of ketamine.

Dirty, dirty drugs that are typically only used by naive teenagers.... in the US. Other countries have great OTC drugs...

Can't really recall buying any OTC except otrivin. Thank god that shit is prescription free here, wouldn't dare to have my nose anywhere near cocaine without knowing there is a free otc supply of it. After coke my nose is so stuffed that one solid attempt at inhaling with it will result in ruptured air drums. There is some fearmongering in newspapers and peers regarding that your nose can become dependent on it causing chronic congestion, but I've never experienced any such problems myself. Anyways if someone is afraid of the side effects of an otc nasal spray they would probably stay the fuck away from harder drugs anyway lol.

@bornabuser, rebound congestion from decongestant sprays is a real thing, not fearmongering. not having it happen to you doesn't mean it can't happen to someone else. stick to the recommended duration and check with a pharmacist if the congestion keeps coming back.

@Ozymandeus, i'm sorry you went through that. how are you doing now?

I haven't really been the same since April, because after that attempt I was placed in the criminal upstairs psych ward due to attempting to leave the hospital after being IVC'd. Let me tell you, I would have rather gone cold turkey in prison than detoxing in that place. Imagine detoxing in an 18th century insane asylum. It really almost broke me as a man, as a human... I had clinical PTSD response for months. Couldn't lay down in bed without feeling like I was back in that place... but other than that I am doing alright. Lots of unresolved trauma. Have multiple therapists but it's really no better than having 1, it's not like they share notes and collaborate.

Not many people get to visit the upstairs psych ward, trust me when I say it is worlds different from the regular psych ward. A lot different... I was more suicidal when I left than going in... and that is something I am still trying to process.
