I’m envious if many of these… but Autechre?!? ❤️❤️❤️

They came to the Brooklyn Masonic temple in 2015, and a few of my college friends went. Rob and Sean did individual dj sets prior to their set, and once Autechre started playing, they killed the lights and everybody just stood in the dark, amazed. It was a very good time to be on 2C B.

lol I forgot about them. They were with the faceless one time.

ABACABB, Arsonists get all the Girls

Metalcore bands had the silliest names back in the day . Maybe still do.
I caught them at a day long metal festival at a smaller stage, and they encouraged a lot of stage diving. Only time I’ve done that.

So many metalcore band names are prepositional phrases that I still use that resemblance to remember what an actual prepositional phrase is.

The first concert I saw was only the opening act( loverboy) and about 4 songs from the headliner(Kansas). It was in about a 5000 seat arena with standing room up close to the stage. I was supposed to be at a movie and had to leave in time to be picked up. That was about 1980-81 in Cedar Rapids Iowa when I was 14 yrs old. The next show I had permission and saw and heard everything was the Scorpions, Iron Maiden, and girlschool. July 1982. # of the beast, blackout tour. Life changing...

Are we talking actual bands or any live musician? As far as bands, here it is:

• Sublime (with their new singer Rome, in 2004. I went with my mom, I was like 13 lol.)

• Styx

• REO Speedwagon

• I think that’s it? Lmao

man, i've been going to live shows for about 40 years. i wish i had catalogued them for posterity.

on wednesday night i saw cannons live at the hanger in south lake tahoe - it's a beer garden and they built a stage and have been getting some pretty decent bands.

they put on an impressive show.

I've been getting into Cannons. It sounds like they're recreating 80s pop.
