Reclaim harshness

I should know this after smoking like 2 decades

I don’t remember this always being the case. I have some concentrate, and the only thing I have to smoke it with is this broken quartz nectar collector

So its smaller hits and more reclaim sometime , but you know how you smoke the reclaim, and then that create some reclaim, and so on?
Is by the time you’ve had 4-5 reclaims, is it like infinite harshness? I notice I’m coughing my fucking lungs out on hits with the latest reclaim. I rarely cough when smoking or taking even large hits. Is it the continuous concentration creating a harsh product?

Yeah, you've basically nailed it yourself. Reclaim is already decarbed and burnt once, so every time you re-vaporize it you're cooking off more of the terpenes and cannabinoids and concentrating the leftover tars, ash and degraded gunk. Each pass strips out the smooth stuff and leaves harsher combustion byproducts, so by the fourth or fifth round you're basically inhaling reprocessed carbon. That's the coughing. It's not infinite, eventually there's nothing left but nasty residue. Honestly not great for your lungs to keep chaining it. If you're waiting on a new collector, might be worth giving the reclaim loop a rest.

More than a decade ago i tried to extract the "goodies" from a large amount of "After-Been-Vaped" reclaim. I think the net result was 1 g of a most repulsive substance smelling like an ashtray accumulating tar for months, and that wasn't even from smoke. So starting from there it was either make it count or discard it, no looking back!
