I took DET again yesterday, at around 9:40am. ROA was boofed. I weighed out 90mg DET freebase and dissolved it in ~1ml water with dissolved citric acid. Final pH of solution was neutral.
I initially meditated, expecting an intense experience. It took ~30 minutes to feel initial effects, which were a feeling of increasing mental confusion and leg tremor.
At this point, I switched to listening to music with eyes closed. Slowly, vague blue-green visuals appeared, at first taking form of glowing sparkles, and slowly arranging themselves into numerous eyes, expressing intense emotions. Some were very happy eyes, some looked sad, some looked down on me, some looked like they were expressing jealousy, lust or deception, and some looked away from me. The hues changed from blue to red, and all the eyes started crying. And then, the whole scenery burst into flames. And the smoke rose above into the sky, forming thick clouds, from which rain fell.
At this point, I was feeling quite bad physically, I felt quite nauseated and sweaty.
It took considerable effort to remember the words "can we take a walk outside" to my girlfriend. She agreed, and we got dressed. Upon going down the stairs of our house, the ground below me felt like vibrating jelly, while waving in rhythm with a gyrating alien sound in my head.
Looking outside, the ground was quite a bit more colourful than i usually remember, and everything had a very surreal feeling to it. I could not filter sound at all, and every little thing I heard, even distant sounds, were blended and mixed together, and changed in pitch. I mentioned this to my girlfriend, and she told me about the cocktail party effect. While talking, I started hearing this guttural bubbling sound, coming from above us, as well as droplets falling, as if from a faucet. Mind you, yesterday was a very dry day, and I'm pretty sure these sounds existed only in my head. Upon closing my eyes, I saw quite surreal scenery of eyes and wings and clouds.
We passed by two men, who were sitting on a bench and talking. Their voices sounded incredibly deep, robotic and downpitched. The guttural sounds had increased in intensity as well, and a cricket-like chirp was accompanying them. The grass looked and moved like legs of insects.
We went back home, and back inside the house, I was met with the rhythmic thumps of our AC unit. Brutal sound. I closed my eyes again, to see a surreal opened shellfish, with numerous shining pearls in between the flesh.
We had lunch at this point, and listened to a few Her's songs, which sounded utterly bizarre. The singer's voice sounded like a bug's flapping wings, and the music was terribly out of tune at times, but normal (apart from the voice) at other times.
After lunch, I attempted to listen to music more, but the physical discomfort felt quite overwhelming, and my thoughts were redirected towards some very personal topics, which I found quite depressing. I spent the last few hours of the trip thinking about these topics and feeling quite bad, until around t+4:30hr, when the trip started to considerably weaken. I did not feel fully sober for quite a while afterwards, however, and talking or texting took considerable effort.
Overall, I would consider this doseage a bit of an overdose. The physical side effects outweighed the positive effects, and I feel like all three of my DET trips tended to put me in a very negatively introspective mindstate. I felt quite intense nausea for quite a while after dosing, even after i was completely sober, and a bit into the next day. I do not recommend taking such a dose of DET.
I'm not the biggest fan of DET, it has been a darker substance for me than DPT, which I found friendlier and floral, with deeper psychedelia and less side effects. DET's audio effects are definitely more pleasant than DiPT's, and in my opinion that's where it shines.
So far, I think my curiosity about this substance, has been satisfied.
