Been hitting ~5% THC-P pens for a few weeks then smoked actual bud....... Bro it lowkey did take like 2 grams to get me on my ass no lie.... If it was normal carts, i would have been faded off a few hits of the blunt.

Off topic but when I was trying all the various "smoke shop noids", I absolutely loved THC-O-acetate. I had the distillate and one drop on a cookie was good. It had a nice stony high which took hours to hit but lasted *quite a long time. However, after even 2-3 days of use it took me tons of regular flower to get high. Had to take a t-break.

That was when I pretty much decided that the smoke shop noids were not for me. They all jacked up tolerance quickly to various degrees with various mechanisms to do so. Tolerance to flower goes up waaay more slowly. (I knew peeps doing grams of D8 a day)

But, I do still look back on that THC-O-acetate fondly.

This is fascinating to me, when you say ~5% THC-P pen are you talking about something you purchased? And was the flower analyzed at all? I've used flower from farms I trust, measured in analytical labs staffed by folks I know personally, and after consuming THC-P I would always play with this thing people on the internet said about how it rendered flower useless, and I got profoundly inconsistent results just comparing THC-P <-> THCa. I'm saying THCa too because flower does not contain a meaningful amount of THC, it's still the carboxylic acid, hence why you need to heat it or decarb it to induce the typically desired psychoactivity. The THC-P I was using was initially delta 8, and later I worked with delta 9 THC-P, the difference was not very noticeable at the potency/mg that you find in THC-P.

The flower that I found to be somewhat "immune" to tolerance formation from either pure THCa diamonds or THC-P always had a pretty high ratio of "ensemble" compounds relative to THCa. If you find yourself working with reasonably well analyzed material in the future (both the THC-P distillate as well as the flower), keep some notes and let us know if you notice anything similar.

I never sourced cannabinoids from smoke shops, just labs, were you getting this disty from a smoke shop? I've never seen them move just like a straight syringe or vial but I would expect it's inevitably occurred at some point. It's crazy funny how many times people would make the classic "oh this ain't shit, that's a smoke shop cannabinoid" mistake as far as redosing THC-O acetate infinitely until they eventually feel the first dose and realize the magnitude of mistake they've made. I've never noticed THC-O acetate whether vaporized or oral escalate tolerances in myself or anyone I've given it to (easily 50+ so far) and it's the primary thing I was paying attention to, since everybody online acts like any cannabinoid-containing drug other than straight flower annihilates tolerance. Did you have any analytical data on the batches of disty and flower you consumed, and did you keep a doselog? I can go from dabbing 2+ grams of THCa diamonds a day to smoking flower and be completely incapacitated off of 2-3g of flower, which even at 30% THCa content would be at best ~half as much. This is super consistent for people I've tested this on too, THC-P-O consistently induced a wild tolerance in folks though. It also took no less than 4 days to wrap up, even in miniscule doses, it's kind of a weird outlier. Even oral administrations of MDMB-4en-PINACA didn't affect my flower tolerance, but I never had anybody else testing that one.

Were your friends who were consuming grams of D8 a day vaporizing it? As a division 1 dabber, I can vouch for that being genuinely a Herculean feat.

Also everybody I know who's used THC-O looks at it fondly, it's such a slept on compound that gets unfairly demonized imo.

I got it mail order from the internet. I just call them "smoke shop cannabinoids" since that was the common source. It was in a syringe.

I redosed to an extent since I loved how high it got me, but I didn't do what you are speaking of since I was aware of the delay even vaping, which translated into a long delay oral. I loved smoking it but it was reputed to form nasty compounds doing so, so I mostly used it orally.

Spent more than a few hours on my back stoned to the bone on it. Wasn't as sleepy as Indica based (all pot essentially now) so I would be really stoned without falling asleep.

There was analytica data. As much as could be trusted from an internet drug. It ticked all the boxes of what I had read about THC-O-acetate.

IMO, the mechanism by which THC-O-acetate jacks up tolerance is...
1. No other cannabinoids. The entourage effect helps with the high, I believe and helps slow tolerance build up. CBD (and others, I believe) partially occupying cannabinoid receptors might support that view. I also got quickly jacked up tolerance from smoking pure THC-A. (It also felt like a little something was missing). This was alleviated by using the THC-A to make regular pot more potent. I actually did continue to use THC-A, I made a couple ounces of regs into decent pot with it.
And...
2. The very long lasting effect. Long lasting drugs usually increase tolerance more as in Methadone.

I think the tolerance jack up from D-8 is the fact that it hits the CB2 receptors harder than the CB1. So, people do bigger doses to get satisfactory mental effects. I saw people ending up doing a lot of D-8 in numerous cases. Usually they were doing it orally and the extreme cases were definitely the gummies. D-8 gummies used to be everywhere in smoke shops, often rather cheaply.

(-)-Trans-Δ9-tetrahydrocannabiphorol (Δ9-THCP, (C7)-Δ9-THC, and THC-Heptyl), is a potent phytocannabinoid, a CB1 and CB2 agonist which was known as a synthetic homologue of THC,[1] but for the first time in 2019 was isolated as a natural product in trace amounts from Cannabis sativa. It is structurally similar to Δ9-THC, the main active component of cannabis, but with the pentyl side chain extended to heptyl. Since it has a longer side chain, its cannabinoid effects are "far higher than Δ9-THC itself." It is said to have at least 30 times higher affinity to cannabinoid receptors than THC.[2] The binding activity of Delta-9-THCP against human CB1 receptor in vitro is Ki = 1.2 nM.[3] and the binding activity of Delta-8-THCP against human CB1 receptor in vitro is Ki = 22 nM.[4]

I ordered some THC-P paper doses, like LSD, and they were so amazing. A total body high to the point where my body was tingling in joy.

I ordered many sheets for some pals I play pool with weekly. They were all blown away with the THC-P. So I eventually ran out and ordered more from the same company.

Sadly these sheets came with a logo printed on each dose. Plus one dose didn't phase me so I ate a 5 strip and still felt nothing. THC-P is about 30 times than THC alone. So something was off. . .
I had ordered $100's of items from the company that made the paper. So I contacted them about their shitty THC-P blotters and found out that the new sheets had the THC-P applied and then had the logo printed on them.

I contacted the company to let them know that they have worthless sheets of THC-P and a printer that is full of it.

I got all of my money back but would have preferred the original sheets without any ink on them. I even emailed the company to ask them to remake the original sheets that were so, so good.

So hopefully I can get some good THC-P blotter sheets again one day.

Does anyone else know of a proper way to take or to get tHC-p? I tried a ThCP vape and it was worthless.
