Hey everyone,
Finally decided to make an account instead of just lurking. I'm 26, living out in the northern Midwest region of the US.
I’ve been around substances since about 2015, but things definitely took a turn around 2018 when my use started getting pretty risky, dependent, and heavy. These days my main focus and what I'm dealing with most is primarily fentanyl, and to a lesser extent crystal meth. As anyone who touches these kinds of substances knows, it gets incredibly overwhelming fast.
Honestly, I’m just trying to get my use under control so I can manage my day-to-day life better and actually feel like I have some control over things again. I'm really looking to learn from people who understand the reality of using these specific substances and know how to stay as safe as possible.
(*TW*) To be honest, what's driving this readiness for change boils down to the fact that I've unintentionally overdosed and needed naloxone as a result of smoking fentanyl a staggering (and to tell you the truth, somewhat embarrassing) 5 times in the past 2-3 months, and it's been a bit of a wake-up call that's caused me to re-evaluate my relationship with the drug and question whether it has a place in my life at all, let alone the starring role it's been playing for far too long now.
Looking forward to reading through the threads and getting to know the community. Hope everyone is staying safe out there.
Peace
