How many mgs of ephedrine sulfate = 25mg of ephedrine hcl?
26.6mg eph sulphate = 25mg eph HCl = 20.5 mg ephedrine base
Sekio is a ninja, that's how.
What is this anyway, a chemistry class? Do you know what moles are?
Essentially, ephedrine on it's own weights a certain amount (this is the base). The -sulphate and -chloride weigh different amounts, much less than the ephedrine as ephedrine is an organic amine with considerably more atoms (it looks like this). Add ephedrine + chloride and you get ephedrine chloride. Same with sulphate.
Sulphate salt MW = 214.2
Chloride salt MW = 201.2
Ephedrine FB = 165.2
You want the chloride salt to be 25g. So first: 201.2/25=8.04
For the sulphate:
214.2/8.04=26.6 so the sulphate salt is 26.6g in comparison
For the freebase:
165.2/8.04=20.5 so ephedrine base is 20.5g in comparison.
And I am drunk.
Haha fuck knows why I'm sat here at 3.30am doing maths on BL..
