Do you believe in "super powers after DMT"?

DMT makes everything seem a lot less real. Its a very interesting head trip. I haven't broken through, and I'm not sure if I really want to. It is very powerful shit. I'm not sure about becoming more intuitive or spiritually aware or anything. I think other psychedelics are better for that. I'd say that DMT has been a strong wake up call to just how much more there is to existence than what we pay attention to, though.

The capabilities of the human mind far exceed our conventional Newtonian senses and beliefs of what is real and what isn't.

Potent hallucinogens can encourage one's "paranormal" abilities, that is, can be used to explore various facets of ourselves that are not normally available.

Alot of people simply think that these are just projected experience created by the brain and nothing else, however if one were to actually intrinsically study the data and evidence gathered over the past 40 years or so, they would see some shocking and fascinating observations. "Psychiatrists" who believe these karmic experiences and non-ordinary states are nothing of notable interest clearly know nothing of the human consciousness and all it entails.

For example, the works of Stanislav Grof MD on Transpersonal Psychology and the use of LSD in discovering psychic ability and non-human instinctual experience are absolutely enthralling.

Because you're really qualified to make assertions of this nature... lol

I'm talking about possible physical things, such as perhaps enhanced vision or figuring out even more control of certain aspects of you body. Not like spiritual powers.

You guys make a big joke out of it, so obviously myself and others know a little more about this than you guys. Try to take something strange seriously for once, you may find the results startling.

I mean like, could a life time atheist like me be suddenly turned on to religion after experiencing DMT? It's a pretty interesting question actually.

It's entirely possible, if anything it's the deconstruction of religion into pure formlessness in which the concept originated from.

What i find so fascinating about DMT is your perception is essentially transported from a fraction of conscious awareness to absolute conscious awareness, this isn't an experience words could every justify or convey, the shift is so great that it will more then likely have a profound effect on how you view yourself in relation to 'everything'. The unknown scares most people, and due to the rapid nature of DMT's onset it can be very intimidating to be forced so far away from what you thought was reality into a paradoxical collapse of duality that is virtually incomprehensible by traditional means of logic and reason.

It truly is the ultimate surrender of your self for pure liberation.

I feel with the shift of consciousness to a more integral awareness of self, their may be greater access to intuition and psychic abilities, increased empathy, astral projection and very vivid dreams. I don't believe this is without conscious effort on the individuals behalf.. DMT may open the door, but you need to step through it.

This is more or less what I'm talking about, like we all have the capabilities to expand our horizons but we don't really see the way to step through the door. I also believe that with some people, there are things that bring you back (closer) to this bodily and mental state after your immaculate experience.

I can always hear any song I want to in my head on DMT clear as day. First song I heard first time was little secrets by Passion pit. Happy? lol

And yeah man psychs are all about figuring out what you can do while youre in that special place. Whats possible, etc.

Is that were you're on about?

Superpowers as in comic book shit, or telekenesis? No, DMT definitely didn't convince me I had any magical powers over physical reality.

Superpowers as in the existence of supernatural entities, places beyond or separate from the physical world that our minds can interact with? DMT made me more open to these kinds of ideas. A DMT breakthrough is not just more immersive and intense than most other visually active trips... It feels more real at a fundamental level.

Not really. This isn't about flashbacks.

Im not sure if I have too much to add to what has already been discussed but I am in the camp of belief of rational super-sensory expansions brought about in individuals who use DMT/ayahuasca correctly.

The "superpowers" are brought about by how you take the message of the experience into your everyday life interactions. if one can keep in mind these messages, better yet make them part of who you are, I can see one (and have myself) become more in tune with others emotions, become more joyful and consistently positive no matter the situation, becoming in tune with your purpose in life, contact and interactions with spirits/aliens/guides whathaveyou, experiencing synchronicity in life events and big decisions also with other people.

I also believe that the DMT experience is akin to mystical spiritual experiences and can activate chakras in the body either temporarily or open up the chakra more permanantly. Activation of these chakras are associated with certain "psychic" powers in the hindu/vedic religions. I believe these may be entirely possible but have been exaggerated.
