Taking vitamins in excess resulting in narcotic-like euphoria?

I think that B-vitamins can have effect on the mood and health.

I tend to agree with opinion of mgmt&mdma, good spring weather definitely affects the mood, far more than placebo!

Easy and Natural Ways to Raise Low Serotonin Levels

6. Get out in the sun at least 30 minutes in the morning and for 2 hours throughout the day.

Sunlight burns off melatonin produced the night before. The presence of high levels of melatonin consumes serotonin. Sunlight suppressed the production of melatonin and allows your serotonin levels to rise during the day. Without the exposure to adequate natural light your melatonin levels will be higher and your serotonin levels will be lower.

Having lived in Portland, Oregon for 8 years, when I got tested for Vitamin D, sunlight fed, I was at an extremely low level, 7 considering that the average was 110-120 so and so per unit .

I took Vitamin D and got a big hit, a total mental dimensional shift, which I could have reacted in an euphoric way. So , perhaps, Seattle creature, the lack of sunlight, the subsequent dosing of D and other vitos, created an exciting shift in your brain chemistry, hence the dancing spirit.

If you really believe into it it might work, it's the power of placebo.
For Vitamin D homewer if you're not a person who hangs out outside a lot everyday then it's always good to have some as suppliment. Taking vitamins in excess is a waste though.

Yesterday we had the most euphoric day in a loooonnnnggggg time!! I'm going to start calling sunny days 'euphoric'. :p

check out this thread I made a couple days ago: http://www.bluelight.ru/vb/showthread.php?t=568201

Taking 5 or 6 B-Complex pills still gives me a strong buzz comparable, but not identical too, that of a couple Lortabs. But even better; it takes away any drug cravings I have, gives me more energy, and makes me more social. It practically kills depression and anxiety.

If the buzz your vitamins are giving you are anything like what I'm feeling, then I agree: it is great! Maybe we are deficient in certain vitamins in relation to other people, so we feel normal, which in comparison to how we usually feel, is euphoric.

Nobody will convince me that the feeling I get from taking the B-Complex is placebo. The first time I took it I didn't expect anything at all. And the euphoric buzz is unmistakable, along with the energy and socialbility. The bigger the dose I take, the longer the mood lift will last. E.g. currently, 5 pills last about 2-3 days, while a couple pills will last into the next day.

Other side effects for me include: Deep, intense sleep at night, with very lucid dreams. The dreams I have after taking the Bcomplex are amazingly realistic. Due to my experience with B-12 alone, I think a lot of the dreaming aspect come from the B-12. However, B-12 alone gave me only nightmares, while all the b-vitamins together provide a variety, usually VERY interesting and fun...

I notice my urine IS bright yellow after I take them, but the effects remain even after my urine returns to its near clear appearence.

It's cool I've discovered someone else who has a similar experience with vitamins. By the way, B-complex, for me, completely kills the Adderall comedown for me.

Check out this off-site topic as well (discusses the effects of B-complex, alone AND with Adderall): http://www.drugs-forum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=122622

man, i read few reports of b vitamins stimulating cancer growth in access and are especially bad for people with already health problems.
also high doses over prolonged period of time is known to cause health problems. :\

I cant believe not more than a couple people agree with you i get a greatt reaction from b vitamins and fish oils.

I highly recommend niacin the no flush kind along with another b complex vitamin if no ones tried them yet. This way you can take multiple doses and not receive any type of flush.

And honestly it feels fucking greattt. More "content" focused energetic motivated. Tis is crazy no doubt.

I may have been lacking b3 in the first place though maybe thats why im receiving such positive results? but seriously niacin is a miracle.

I agree with Highhooked...i take fish oil, B-complex, vitamin D, and ginkgo biloba every day..takes a few days but I feel very relaxed...similar to a light benzo or opiate buzz. Better energy as well...

so is niacin the 'miracle' component in the complex I'm taking?

Well naicin is definately in there probably at 50-100mg in each vitamin.

But i got these "naturally preffered" no flush naicin vitamins that are 400mg each and i dose 2 at a time after a big meal 3 times a day.

Its great no doubt, i would give it a try or look up naicins benefits on google and decide for yourself. Goood shit

cant believe nobody cares to read side effects and bad long term affects of your abuse on vitamins. you guys are kids.

We can't read side effects if you don't give us the link to read them.

We don't care enough right now to search on our own. So if you'll appease our general laziness, that would be much appreciated.

Please don't feed the troll, guys. 8)

Seriously though, asecin, stop throwing out facts without legitimate websites to back 'em up.

As far as I know, the only danger comes from overusing/abusing fat soluble vitamins (A, D, E, K). The niacin flush effect is interesting: They told us in our class that it was an undesirable side effect from having consumed too much niacin--I find it interesting that people seek that effect!

I'm not sure if it's the double dose I took of D3 and E this morning, or if I'm simply just having a great day, but all I know if I'm feeling awesome and it's not even that nice out...not a drop of anxiety!

Apparently overdoses of B6 can cause peripheral nervous system problems like loss of sensation and difficulty walking. 8o

This was observed (according to Wikipedia) in sometimes doses of 500mg taken over several months, or daily doses in excess of 1,000mg.

There is some other B vitamin known to cause liver damage in excessive dosages, not sure which at the moment though.
