Tell us about the last film you watched, mate!

The Doom Generation

pretty ridiculous movie.

has that psychedelic look, like House or Enter the Void. actually reminded me quite a bit of Enter the Void.

did have one thing going for it besides a little bit of style: 22 year-old Rose McGowan. adorable. perfectly pale skin, pink lipstick, pink blush. with dark sunglasses & a little black dress to create some appealing contrast. her character has a cute "like totally fuck it" attitude. she gets nakey.

but the movie feels like it was written by an 8th grader going through his or her punk phase. i watched it because it said it had Parker Posey in it, but only in a single scene--in which she does not really have a chance to shine. young Rose made up for that disappointment.

Huh, I have a thing for that movie. But Nowhere is better. Check it out if you get the chance. It's all style over substance, and hot actors over talented actors. But as long as you know what to expect, it's all fine and dandy. :)

I too like Parker Posey. She's pretty much herself in everything, but she's so damn funny. I <3 her. :)

having seen The Doom Generation, i believe it. i also want to see Kaboom, but neither netflix nor my library has either right now. in time. i'll report. and yeah, parker posey is pretty fantastic. that is a somewhat recent discovery for me.

Fucking great Film, sweet, great film...beautifully acted and shot...got it for peanuts.
Also,

Good show but completely overrated by the Media/Oscar hype! What a load of bullshit...have seen many a film of an equally good caliber(IMHO) that were just as enticing, but I really didnt think it was that gut-punchingly good, good and
fairly interesting but the coverage probably ruined the surprise.
~If 'Heart of Fire' had Angelina Jolie/Natalie P. etc. in it, it would have been Oscar Material(not because of the Story but because of the Acting/Directing . :p Hollywood Politics annoys the bejeezus out of me!
Anyway enough of my opinionated shit...

Enjoyable, had read about M.Zuckerberg years ago and was interested in the film. Glad they kept most of the sugar coating toward the end and the beginning. Was interesting because of subject matter.

I deplore anyone to watch The Last Excorcism. Was in a good ol' mood for getting the living crap scared out of myself when I was encumbered with this shit waste of money. Not a Satire, not Scary, load of bollocks. Boo! Guess I should have expected it to be riding on the tattered, coat t-ales of the name for a quick buck but nevertheless thought there would be some entertainment value in it. Oh well. :/

Absolutely loved The Assassination of Jesse James.

.
Casey Affleck was amazing in it, why the hell dont we see more of him?!

Also, me thinks Little Children was a great show too...fantastic as a read too I'd imagine!

HAve seen this show about 3 times...Tom Hulce annoys me(why they allowed him to have a thick, American accent is beyond me) but that is the effect he is meant to have, film still facinates me though. Lovely costumes and set design/location choices too! Not brilliant but really inticing(for me anyway) all the same. :)

i honestly cant remember the last fil, or the last tele' i watched besides the news in Egypt, as it was starting...

Twilight' heh was the last movie i watched, i guess, and thats okay;-)

i like telling people i love those films, and then going on and on as to why, always slack-jaws around for those moments.
(now though, i have a absolutely / stunningly different take on them and this is fine also)

<3

Oh Pip my life is so boring, if I didnt have good films to watch/look forward to think id curl up and go underground to meet my demise! ;)

You'l enjoy black swan, too gorgeous ones in it, even if it dont take your fancy ;)
Sorry but I hated Twighlight(I know I run the risk of being lynch'd on here for saying that but...tough tittie! :p Just wasnt my thing. *Cowers* lol

Yeah, I wanna see Kaboom too. Still haven't seen Mysterious Skin cuz my best friend told me it's pretty disturbing. I will see it eventually, I'll just wait for it to come on TV or something.

Her film choices haven't been the best of late, but her older films are always worth a watch. :)

^^^Amadeus, haha IDK how many times ive seen that, but its amazing always.

ive watched Amadeus 20 something times, now thinking about it since i was 6y/o maybe, but can hardly remember anything from it..!

Narcosys---Streams on Netflix

Low Budget British Sci-Fi---A bunch of tattoooed, pierced, british drug hipsters wearing rave clothes doing drugs and waving guns around. One scene has a dude poke himself, register blood, and inject 60 units of something into himself. Another scene of softcore porn where a girl covered in bodypaint w/angel wings rides a dude. Good for a chuckle....

If you ever wondered where that equal pay bullshit came from... :p

Just finished watching 'The Way Back'

the-way-back-movie-poster.jpg

The movie was inspired by the book 'The Long Walk: The True Story of a Trek to Freedom' a memoir by a Polish PoW during 1940 who claimed to have escaped from Siberia and traveled south to India.

I wasn't sure what to expect of this film, in the past i havn't enjoyed the roles Collin Farrel has taken on, and it's made me dislike him as an actor.. but his acting in this film was amazing, i really enjoyed his character.

The movie had me engaged the entire time.. i did notice on more then a couple of occasions the Russian accents slipping from some of the unknown actors which caught my attention.. but the general direction of the movie was very cool.

I thought it was allright... movie itself didn't make a lot of sentence, I mean I understood it(as any body who has experience going to the cookie nest would) but the ending was lacking... As for eye candy, yeah sure, but nothing really eye popping except perhaps for the first fight where she takes on the Sumerias...

7/10

Well, I can tell you the last movie I rented from Netflix.
