What illness do you think I got

I'd advise you to ask your doctor. Read up on avoidant personality disorder and generalized social phobia, as many of the feelings youre having are consistent with those diagnosis. It's seems clear that youre going through a major depression and it's important to find a therapist and psychiatrist you're comfortable working with and can be honest with.

It sounds to me (in my opinion) that you are suffering from alot of anxiety as well as depression. I would say talk to your doctor about it and keep trying meds until something works. Sadly alot of doctors can't see past SSRI's and SNRI's when it comes to treating depression or anxiety :|

What meds are you on anyway?

^This.

Dual Diagnosis.

Approximately 15 to 30 percent of addicts suffer from both addiction and underlying depression. The combination of depression and addiction is sometimes called a dual diagnosis. People who have a dual diagnosis often have a repeating pattern of staying sober for a while and then relapsing because they feel awful.

If you have a dual diagnosis and your depression isn't treated, you're more likely to relapse, because your recovery feels flat and unrewarding. If you're depressed for too long, you'll eventually think of turning to your addiction to escape. If you don't have a dual diagnosis, you'll generally start to feel better quickly after you stop using.

Dual diagnosis is hard to diagnose in the first few months of recovery. It's hard to decide if the symptoms of depression are due to an underlying depression or due to the depressant effect of drugs and alcohol. You usually have to be abstinent for at least 3 months before a diagnosis of underlying depression can be made. Sometimes it takes as long as 6 months for your brain chemistry to begin to return to normal. Of course these are general guidelines.

I'll give some input only because your symptoms are almost all exactly like mine. When I was around your age, I was diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder w/ acute psychosis, avoidant personality disorder, body dysmorphic disorder, and possibly OCD. This was even before I began doing any drugs. When I was younger I was diagnosed with aspergers syndrome, which might explain the paranoia in public. I've been on a shitload of psych meds since then and so far zoloft has helped me the most along with an anti-psychotic (seroquel) and insomnia meds.
GL and PM me if you need any suggestions or advice

cheers guys

I am currently on Mirtazapine 30mg but instead of staying on them I keep coming off them because I feel like theyre not working.

But thats because I keep using drugs n alcohol now n again when im on them. I know this time Im going to have to stay sober for at least 6 months though.

6 months? Then what happens when you start using again and you think your meds aren't working? The key is staying sober... FOREVER.

ye but I just seen so many people who have been on them years and still battling severe depression who have never even touched illegal drugs.

Yet ive seen so many peoples life that have changed for the better by using psychadelic drugs.

So im in two minds as to what to do but it seems like my life just gets worse the longer I stop using drugs recreationally as Ive never had a serious habit in the sense that ive needed to use drugs daily otherwise i'd cluck sense.

I would see a professional, this could be anything. The first thing that came to my mind was Schizophrenia, but I'm not a doctor and I can't be sure, so don't let that scare you!
