I was just wondering how safe/risky this mix is.

It seems that the platelet inhibiting effects of Ginkgo Biloba might be dangerous if combined with the blood thinning effects of alcohol and aspirin. I have already taken 80mg of Ginkgo Biloba and 500mg of Aspirin and only two sips of beer. I remembered that I had taken Ginkgo Biloba and Aspirin a few hours earlier, so I stopped drinking the beer just to check online and double check that there is no extremely dangerous interactions.

I'm not too worried about stomach bleeding or whatever from combining aspirin with alcohol, but I don't want to end up having serious internal bleeding or something like that.

After an extensive search on google, I found very little information regarding this combination.

Also, how would Ginkgo Biloba affect oxycodone?

Thanks for any responses, and sorry if this thread seems very simple or overly cautious. I'm not just worried about tonight, but for any time I might be taking Ginkgo Biloba or Aspirin in the future

im not too educated on gingko biloba,

but i can say that IMO beer and aspirin shouldnt be mixed, theres sooo many things that could go horribley wrong.

Aspirin and Alcohol can inhibit prostaglandins that maintain the integrity of your GI (stomach) lining. Why are you taking Aspirin? Also, do you have any drug allergies?

I only take aspirin because its an ingredient in Excedrin which is by far the best OTC med I've found for getting rid of headaches.

And the only negative drug 'allergy' I've ever had was from dextromethorphan. I had a cough for about 2 weeks and took robotussin with DXM in it every day during that period, and the end result was severe dehydration in my legs to the point that I couldn't walk. I went to the doctor, and he concluded that I was "allergic" to dextromethorphan (although this isn't by definition an "allergic" reaction).

I'm guessing you've tried ibuprofen, naproxen sodium, acetaminophen?

Have you tried Celebrex (celecoxib)? It's a second generation NSAID that does not inhibit COX-1 (which is protective of the stomach lining) and it does provide analgesia. It also produces less GI ulcers and does not increase bleeding time--as the ones above do. Talk to your doctor about the potential benefits of Celebrex versus Aspirin and see what he/she says.

Best wishes. :)
