Okay so this is the social.. This is where you can post anything that isn't a specific regional drug question. You don't have to post anything drug-related, or about how high you are, although that's certainly okay too!

Really the point is just to get to know each other a little better, and allow for more relaxed/open discussion without cluttering up NSASDD with a bunch of off-topic threads.

So i'm leaving the realm of the unemployed because I have two AWESOME jobs to choose from and it's blowing my brains out picking which one to choose...

One is starting out as a Labourer but I am family friends with the owner of the company and he wants to train me up in to a supervisory role withing 6 months which means big $$$ but the work is fairly hard.

On the other hand I am an obsessed musician whose passion lies in that area. Basically The other job is a Sales position at Allans Music, a big music instrument shop. Only thing here is that the career advancement is very little whereas in the other job career advancement and wages basically go up every 3 months...

WHAT TO DO!!

easy bro take the labor job..it will pay off way more..i mean once you get the experiance, you can take it to another construction company and find other jobs cause well construction goes up and down, sometimes you got so much work you cant do it all and sometimes your begging for work, thats the hard part or go the retail route and make garbage money with no future in it really but your happy cause its something you truly love to do

Yeah I am leaning towards the labouring Job, especially as it's a family company run by my second cousins. They want me to advance in the company into a managerial position because they know that most of experience is in Business administration, estimating/quoting, project management and client liason.

I've just struggled so much to get a Job lately (I am on a disability pension because my psych thinks i'm bipolar/schizophrenic . I mean I have some mental problems but I don't think it's that extreme.

SO excited to get back into the workforce

Reading up about piano's for my interview tomorrow. I wish I was interviewing for the guitar section of Allans music. I know everything about guitars... Piano's however is a bit of a grey area

I'm going to the interview to see how it goes and the thing is that I know I'll have a massive amount of competition for the job. It's one of the most wanted jobs going around really I find working at this particular music store.

I'm still fairly keen on the labouring job basically for the security and the career advancement. There is a shitload of cash to be made in it but the work is pretty intense physical work. It's at Boeing building Aircraft parts and my second cousins are both in high up managerial positions and they want to expand the business and get more full-timers (which I would be) and create more supervisory roles. So I'd be a shoe in for that position which would solve all my monetary problems I have...

Allans music is just somewhere i've wanted to work for 6 years and I've dropped my resume in there countless times. It was such a shock when they called me! It's hard because Music is my everything (well apart from psychedelics, benzo's and opiates...

Meh, i'm gonna go to the interview, see what happens from there!

Thanks PFF, thing is that I know I have the job labouring like I start next tuesday with an induction, however, If Allans interview me and go yep, he's the man for the job i'm gonna be fucked, just stressing over what to do.

The pro's seem to be leading towards the labouring position, it's just that music is my life, instruments in particular. I have a massive knowledge of Theory and can play every instrument except for the flute really (barring silly ones like the accordian).

What I need to realise I guess is selling musical instruments to people ISN'T the same as having a career in music so it's very hard. But in all honesty I doubt I'll get the job anyway so it's awesome that I have a contingency plan in the labouring job! I really do want the labouring job, I might even consider doing both part time.

Sorry for the double post but fuck it sucks when you take 50mg valium, drink a 6 pack of beers and then realise that not only are you sober, but you can't feel the benzo's. Fuck this valium script. It's straight to my GP tomorrow for a top up of my Nitrazepam and Alprazolam. My GP prescribes me 4mg daily of alprazolam so I usually have it coming out my ears. Only problem with that is when I accidentally eat a whole bottle in like a week and then i'm like... The fuck happened last week?
