^ That's Wal-Mart for ya, Fjones. Sorry dude. Call the store and see if they still have your bag. Sometimes you can get lucky.
The problem with this is that fixing the error usually costs more time than it is worth. By the time I got home and realized the error, it would take me fifteen minutes to go back and get the bag, if it is still there. There were two things in the bag totaling $4.00. Hardly worth it.
The same shit happens at the supermarket. You get overcharged by a dollar, but if you want to actually get the dollar back, you have to stand there, wait while the puzzled clerk tries to figure out what to do, wait while a supervisor comes over and does some shit with his supervisor card, etc. The whole process ends up being a waste of time or everyone.
I was recently at a CVS where someone was buying 150 of an item for 2 cents each. (seriously). It was some cheapo piece of shit holiday thing. Luckily I came in at the tail end of this or else I would have gone insane. Of course, there is a problem though, as the clerk now thinks these are supposed to be 7 cents each.
WHO FUCKING CARES! We're talking about a difference of $7.50. Move the line along!!! If I owned a store and ANY clerk ever wasted one minute of a customer's time over an amount less than $10.00, I would fire the clerk on the spot.
Instead, the clerk stops the line I am in, AND starts discussing the matter with the clerk running the OTHER line, bringing that one to a halt also. Are you fucking serious!?? Meanwhile I am late for my friend's daughter's first birthday party!!!!!!! I guess I should have gotten the birthday card sooner.
AAAAAARGH
