I just don't enjoy the manga as much as the anime when it's good and I feel like it wouldn't be as good if I already read ahead.

Interesting, most people I know like the manga better, assuming they aren't the kind of people who will only watch the anime of any series and ignore the manga. The manga's artwork is much darker and more appealing to me, plus the violence is quite a bit more intense. Also the translations of the manga, at least the fan scanlations, are a bit more enjoyable than the teams that translate the anime, IMHO. And its frustrating waiting for the anime to go through season upon season of filler arc when theyre waiting for the manga to advance.

However I must say that the past two seasons of the Bleach anime have been much better than any previous seasons (minus, of course, the debacle that was "Ichigo and the Magic Lamp." The Tousen and Wonderweiss battles were great, and at times did surpass the manga. But overall I would say that I prefer the manga more.
