Passion Pit - Sleepyhead
THE BEST when you're coming up

8-Bit Betty - Reading Rainbow Remix <3

And anything by Pogo (only on youtube as far as I know)

here's some good passion pit (and other) remixes that i love

Sleepyhead - Neo Tokyo Remix
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Z1DtNKZ-yI

Little Secrets - The Filth Remix (great buildup from 1:30 to 2:00)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jrU5_Pd_oC0

Thunderstruck - Crookers remix (the buildup that starts around 1:56 and lasts for like a minute is RIDICULOUS)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j5pp8APcelk

and of course the aoki remix of pursuit of happiness, and the VIKING remix of Dat New New

Oh and I've been really into japanese dance lately. I imagine all the crazy elements going on in this song would be so fun.

What music genre's goes well with ecstasy?

As the thread title states. So far electro works well depending of the DJ.

Wow this topic hasnt been done like a thousand times :p.
All music goes well with MDMA imo, all music you like will have much more depth and meaning and on top of that will sound much better, but c'mon "what music goes welll with ecstasy" is a bit of a vague question, it really depends on where your at, e.g at a rave or chilling at home.

Although the most popular ecstasy music genre is electronic/trance (which is amazing music), I personally find that I love any and all kinds of music while on MDMA. Also, what the poster above me said.

agreed with Sliff Politics and yeah, most anything you already like but if you're more interested in the effect with music my 2 cents is to take them to a good long show and enjoy the roll with live music. fun stuff.

simples: the kind of music you like

although there are a few genres i prefer most, and a few ones that I cant stand while rolling

I think music is so personal- though many of us (especially under 25) associate mdma with rave and electronic music experiences, and couldn't imagine rolling to anything else....the drug was created long before electronic music, and electronic genres weren't created because of it.

I LOVE house music, but I plan to change my scenery (get out of a club) and enjoy some other music I like (Queen, Bob Marely, Beatles).

Acid House
Rave

Sorry, EDM was popular when I was in high school, and I'm 46. ;)

As for music:
I love Classical but I find it too slow or complex while rolling.
The emotional overtones from Metal don't work for me either, too harsh.
Old rock (60s-80s) can be fun.
EDM can work really well.
Faster trance/ambient is my personal favorite.

My favorite rolling music...enjoy.

So I listen to alot of electronic music and am constantly getting new stuff. These are my favorite songs to have around when I roll. Look them up on youtube or something.
I hope you get as much from them as I have...
I'll also try to rate them a bit on the situation I would recommend for them.

ELECTRO:

Not Over (Dirty Freqs Remix)-Oakenfold ft. Ryan Tedder (euphoric, first time i ever peaked was when the lyrics started, it was AMAZING)
Knock You Out (Keemerah Remix)- Tiesto & Emily Haines (soothing vocals w/ good beat)
Fuss (The Blister Boyz Remix)- Kissed With A Noise (wild track)
Apes From Space (Phatso Brown Remix)-Aaren San (another wild one)
40s And Hoes (TJR Remix)- DJ Kue (fidgety)
Feel Free (Dada Life Remix V3)-Moonflower & Abs (SICK)
WTFIH (Cyberpunkers Remix)-Haezer (heavy...who the fuck is...? ;))
Find (DJ Micaele Remix)-el (super soothing)
Africa's One Sound (vocal remix)-Gentani (something about the vocals...haunting)
Golden Boy (Patrick G Remix) - Quentin Mosimann

DUBSTEP:

Might Like You Better-Vaski (sexy track..for the ladies, lol)
Hurt Less (Riskotheque Remix)-The Qemists & Jenna G (EPIC)
Destroy She Says (The Unik & Tamour Battant Remix)- Zoe Leela (deep, euphoric)
The End Where I Begin (Javan Dee Remix)-The Script (haunting vocals, gives me the chills)
Life-Bare (heavy)
More Weight Than A Waiter VIP-Vermin
Massive Attack Remix-Bassnectar (not really dubstep)
Here We Go-Bassnectar (that drop will kill you)
Jump Around (Jansten Remix)-House Of Pain
Magical World-Bassnectar (deep)
When I Look At You (Sduk Remix)-Emalkay
Nobody Gets Out Alive (12th Planet & Flinch Remix)-Le Castle Vania
Circles (Wondawulf Remix)-Adam F (highly recommended)
Good Time-Cheshire (title says it all)
Printer Jam Go Bang (gWorm's Bangin Mashup)- Barbarix vs. Mitsabishi & Dorrough
Save My Life (J Majik & Wickaman Dubstep Remix)-B.Y.O.B.

These are just a few...there are literally hundreds more I could recommend, but check these out!

House music, by a looooong way.

I've listened to Hardcore (Evil Activities, Neophyte), Mash-up (Girl Talk, Basshunter) and I've also listened to (and enjoyed) Death Metal (Behemoth, Cannibal Corpse)

And surprisingly Marilyn Manson is pretty good to roll to, if you pick the right songs
