What's the point of this thread?

No one's going to congratulate you on moving from oxy to heroin because it's cheaper... until you get a tolerance. 8)

I didn't choose heroin to choose heroin so to speak. I chose it from an economic stand point. This isn't my goal in life. lol. I am addicted to opiates. So the choices are keep spending money on oxy's or take a cheaper route. Heoin is a cheaper route. That is why it is posted in The Dark Side instead of another forum. Dick.

Any who do. According to the people I know Baltimore Raw Dope is God's gift to heroin users. I went through a gram in 24 hours. Is that a lot or no? The amount I spent on the gram would of bought me about 7 30mg roxis which would of been one dose. So financially it made sense. Other than that this whole addiction makes no sense and is a horrible monkey to have on my back.

IT IS THE DARK SIDE. I AM POSTING ABOUT THE CURRENT STATE OF MY ADDICTION. I am not looking for a congrats. I am saying hey guy starting out on percs or roxis, look at where I am now. Maybe it can help someone from getting to this point. Not pointless. The post in the quotations is pointless though. Do not understand why you took the time to even post that but its a free country. Post away.

I know it sucks bro but you ever thought about trying to quit? I've never been addicted to an opiate, although I've done more than my fair share. I definitely don't know how it feels to detox. I know people that have been eating painkillers/shooting up for years & they finally decided to give it up. Ever tried Methadone? I hear it works!

Watch those needles though man! You can seriously fuck your shit up with one. I've seen some horrific shit from people slamming dope! Be safe! :)
 
Don't forget to rotate injection sites. Do not keep injecting in the same damn place. If you rotate spots enough you will still be able to inject in the crook of your arm when most junkies will have completely collapsed every damn vein in their body.

That's a very important thing to remember. And i don't see it get mentioned enough. Obviously you already know to only use clean needles, and all that jazz.

ok, I live in california and I-5 will take me from my city all the way down to mexico. lets say one day I jump on I-5 and head south. I continue south until one day i wake up and WTF IM IN MEXICO???

Whether or not I originally planned or intended to arrive in Mexico, I'd still have to choose to stay on the highway.

maybe a bad analogy, but saying you didnt "choose to go there" is fucking bullshit and you know it. you chose to do oxy, meaning you brought your addiction upon yourself. the fact that you are addicted is by no one else's choice but your own. the fact that heroin is economically more feasible than oxy did not FORCE you to start shooting dope. YOU CHOSE TO SHOOT DOPE. and the fact that you made a post about it and your intentions are to 'warn newbs' shows your a conscious of your decision, just unwilling to be responsible for your own actions.

seriously man, switching to h cuz its cheaper isnt solving anything.
 
If you can turn back, do so....I went the same route (except with Lorcet) and it cost me 15 years of my life, a ridiculous amount of money and many friends. The addiction to the needle is ALMOST as powerful as the heroin addiction (sometimes you start shooting other stuff just to put stuff in your veins)....regardless of what you do, good luck. I wish you the best and hope you stop before a lot of your life either passes you by or you lose your life entirely...
 
No offense OP, but with that attitude you are going to go down pretty hard. I know plenty of people, myself included, who like the effects of oxycontin better than heroin. Your not a junky just for shooting up heroin. It definately isn't a good path to go down though. If I were you, stick with snorting oxy's or dope if you have to have some kind of opiate. If you ever plan to quit in your life, quit now and withdrawals wont be as bad. Once you shoot heroin for a while, its just really fucking hard to stop. Alot harder than it is to stop snorting OC's.

Agree to a point. Addiction is a disease. I guess I am volunteering since there is help available and I do not choose it. I can only speak for me, but I do not feel normal with out opiates. I am sure there are many that can relate.
 
I really could never find what was so enjoyable about opiates, but maybe I am the lucky one. It seems like people that like opiates, generally don't like marijuana and vice versa.

On the other hand I did have a problem with loving amphetamines. This summer I started thinking about my life and how much time I have to live if I just live my life to the fullest. One really needs to just think about how unique of an experience life on this planet is and how many experiences there are to conquer if time is allowed.

Its very difficult to make the move from addiction to a place of comfort, but once that struggle has been conquered, its an indescribable feeling. Just think about how hard it is to remember the feeling of being drug free and the euphoria which one could experience just from knowing such a state of mind was reached again in their life.
 
I'm 53year old woman.I started heroin at 15 but didn't get a habit until 22.Most of my "friends" have died,I am still here and often jealous of those that have died.I certainly don't feel right without an opiate in my body.I'm currently taking suboxone which doesn't cut it but I am sick of having my EVERY move dictated by a drug.People on this thread are wise to warn you of the needle addiction,also the copping addiction.Lots of fun outmaneuvering the cops and playing with the needle.Until your friends are dead,you get so sick of copping that you cry when you do it and you can't find a usable vein left.I used to glamorize being a junky.Now that I'm older I see how much of life I missed.No one could warn me and I'm sure no one can warn you.But I'll say your life is not your own anymore.Pretty doubtful it ever will be again.Sorry,you're going to bite the dust too.Easy in,no easy out.

That's funny because I would say the exact opposite. Plus marijuana and opiates are great when combined together.

The only times I don't smoke on opiates are when I can't because I'm high somewhere that I can't smoke weed or when I can't because I'm too high to pack a bowl and hit it.
