I didn't post much until a few years ago though, so I can't say that I blame you for not remembering me from the olden days. Lurked for a few years before that even. Us old farts got to stick together and all that. :)

On an unrelated note: I had a few friends over for a kitchen party last night, and wound up lacerating my finger just below the uppermost joint about an hour in. After an hour of being driven around town trying to find a non-ER clinic that was a) open and b) had a functioning autoclave (!), I decided that, fuck it, I'll deal with it myself. It's now the morning after, and I must say that I'm impressed with the results. Butterfly stitches for the win!

The awesome thing is that while I was out trying to deal with this, my friends just made themselves at home, kept cooking, and by the time I got back it was time to eat! The weird thing is that they all wanted to watch me fix the cut; I think they were expecting me to stitch it up a la opening scene of Sicko.

i know, we do! seriously there arent many, ant its freaking important; says a lot for the site, and about us hahah.

it seems like i was on before 2000, the time line doesnt make sense when i recall.

it was very very different, so was TDS a few years ago... its strange seeing the old version. i love bluelights lay out, simple, unintrusive, comfortable. another page has the same feeling to me, but they changed their format, up graded everything for the VB. it seems odd now, before it was just like here, a but older, but the only add was and is a banner up top, and everything else was just more real feeling, a good community to there.

So hi from me.

Dave: I had to wait around in some small hospital/clinic in your city for about 5 fucking hours to get stitched up :X . There was noone there and the doctors where doing nothing. I couldnt let it go and deal with it myself because my lip was cut all the way through. I was drinking 7up while i was waiting and it came out my lip :\ . Pretty freaky.

and that's quite the story about your lip! I've never had any crazy injuries, i'd probably panic haha
 
PA-- Lame. Usually something which approaches 'critical care' gets bumped to the front of the line. I remember when I stabbed myself in the leg with a steak knife (long story), I was treated in double-quick time. Sounds like a case of lazy asshole doctors to me. In my case it was more just bad luck and bad timing. Ah well, it seems to be staying closed now, and I have butterfly stitches to last a while to ensure that it stays that way.

PIP-- I remember when they did that re-design. Took some getting used to, but it certainly is nicer. Way back when, in the old MDMA Clearinghouse days, there was just the one message board, and holy fuck was it basic. No sub forums, just threaded discussion. Kind of like a text-only 4-chan, and nearly as anarchic. There was some moderation IIRC, but not much. When bluelight.nu started up, it was a response to the terrible message board, but still tried to keep the harm reduction ethos. 10+ years later, and despite growing as much as it has, it has really gelled into a great little community. Good times.
 
there's a reason there arent many oldtimers left... actually there's a couple different reasons, but there's one that sticks out above all the rest...
