good to know...I struggled to find any evidence to support it. I just figured it may can especially after my mate went into hospital after being paralyzed in his leg arm and the side of his face. The only thing I thought of was the face he hadn't eaten anything and hadn't had any sleep for approx 4 days.

The other 3 times his tried the drug before and after he has been fine and loved it.. and that's with a higher dosage, but only 17mg-20mg

any other ideas what may of caused this to happen to him?

A few close friends did inform me that I should be careful considering that there is schizophrenia in the family....It's something I should properly consider every time . I do believe it was the thought of "schizophrenia" that caused me to get the psychotic symptoms at the time. As when I do start having bad symptoms on the drug I can pull myself out of it.

You know, I've taken 25-30mg doses of 2C-E, but it was never too much. It wasn't very profound, nor was I ever really changed by the trip. :shrug:
 
Life Changing Moments

Hey, Im really drawn to LSD in the sense that people say it breaks down boundries and everything. I was just wondering if other psychs can produce a similar effect? Im just interested to hear your opinions on wether the experence is an LSD only type thing, or wether you can get the same result via the means of different substances?

Im thinking that maybye either LSA or Mescaline? Perhaps low dose DMT?

Definitely. It's not the same but DMT, for example, can certainly produce this kind of effect. As can others in my experience :)
 
Depends on the person, in my personal experience DMT has had a greater effect on my outlook on life then LSD.
 
That's what psychedelics do.

All of them.

They have different effect profiles but they're all capable of breaking down boundaries and making you see things in new ways.
 
agree with all other posters here, they can all do that.

i think good doses of ayahuasca and mescaline have done this more "frequently" for me than acid.
 
They said that life isn't a game, life is completely real, and everything you do in it is incredibly real... it's not just a read through, this isn't incredible deja-vu... it's all very very real.

Life Philosophy/Morals

Just wondering how psychedelics make you think about the world and life as a whole...

A recent mushroom trip caused me to confront the idea that life could be just a game...

A game in which the rules are decided by the players and the translations are imperfect...What consists of a crime..? Must it be physical in nature? How do you measure mental crime? I feel like psychedelics (acid especially) tend to ask these types of questions. Anyway, I just want your thoughts on the issue. Are morals real or merely thousands of years of subjective experience confined to a small area inside of our heads?

Like drug smuggling...Is the only reason you're afraid because you fear the consequences of being caught? Or do you really feel that deep down "DRUGS are BAD kids!!"

Sry for all the questions, but I'd love any feedback on how you all feel psychedelics have impacted the formation of your morals and life philosophies...
 
Of course morals aren't "real", they are just a suggested set of rules by a subjective clan of peoples that sometimes seem fair and other times are absurd. Life is a game but there is really no winner or loser, it's all an equal field but most people try and deny that.
 
I find what I struggle with the most is integrating what I feel/learn/etc. on psychedelics into everyday life.

How can you blindly go about working a shitty job to collect currency to buy material possessions after you've realized life is a dream and we're just the imagination of ourselves? (shameless Bill Hicks plug)

The more I open myself up to psychedelia and that transcendent state, the more I see how the entire world is just one fucked up place.

Every day I work at trying to move pass that and just be a good person that has a positive influence on others. I don't really know any other way to cope with "reality."

You're the imagination of yourself, so imagineer your way out of the shitty job if its not satisfying. :) (I'm serious, I'm not trying to be a smart-ass. There are multitudes of different ways to live a life, if the way you're living doesn't fulfill you then think up a way that will and bust your ass trying to make it happen. Life is too short to bullshit around on stuff like that, people gotta live a life that makes them happy. :))
