Piperazines - thought some of you might find this of interest.

Hi Guys
I was one of many who invested in White Mercs in Melbourne early 2009.
I didn't take pics at the time, didn't think it necessary, but to me they looked identical to the pic below (taken from PR)

I took some in Jan, didn't like them and so put the rest in storage (same storage technique as I always use). Took them out of storage the other day, below are some images of what they look like now.

It is obvious that they are Pips, interesting to see how they degrade.

The pictures don't show it clearly, but these are very yellow now, like bad teeth!

yeah remember what i said about pips? Im the first person to report pips turning yellow when its moist. Yuck!!
 
Anyone have some pipes on hand that can experiment with this and report back? Might be a useful trick for identifying a good pill.

Mate thats the technique ive been using along with the taste test, its fool proof. Its funny how no one wanted to listen to my methods or beleive me. U dont need test kits. Nothin worse than getting a pip+mdma pill. If it doesnt taste right i know straight away there could be something else in there besides mdma and not to take it.
 
So uh, the signs as we know them are:

1) different consistancy, shiney almost plastic look to them
2) turn yellow when moist, crumble with age
3) taste sour, distinctly different to the taste of MDMA
 
Yeah it'll cause them to crumble for sure, but I've never noticed the yellowing

moisture will do that to pills as well ... not just because its pipes ...

My storage method is double bagged, then stored in a food container in the feezer, this method has neither discoloured or made the pills go crumbly (I still have white pills stored like this, with no affect).

So . . . .either bad binders may make it happen in good pills, but for sure these aren't good pills

Would be nice if we could affectively start the "War on Pips", still reading plenty of posts on BL with people saying noobs, happy to be "buzzing" on pips, oh the pain of hearing this, then posts from WA where a decent pill seems to be doing the rounds and people are freaking out and saying that it is adulterated. . . . .

4) they have white shiny specs in them if held under light
5) they have no smell
6) they are waxy most of the time
 
It's hard to say, most drugs come and go in cycles, I imagine we'll eventually see a resurgance of good MDMA, it's just a question of when. Hopefully some time in the next decade or so before I feel silly rocking out to hard dance till 5am with candy and glowsticks.

Till then, pillreports and a test kit are our friends, and I think the best tactic in the war against pipes is to identify a good batch and stock up on a few months' supply. Buy 30 decent MDXX medium pills and you're set for 6 months.
 
Looking at the phys data for BZP; it decomposes to form Nitrogen oxides, carbon monoxide, irritating and toxic fumes and gases, carbon dioxide, nitrogen.

Decomposition may occur on contact with water or if exposed to heat. It may also react over time with some excipients used in tablet making. The HCl salt is a white crystalline solid, where as the free base is a green-yellow liquid. It's possible the salt is deprotonated to the freebase in the presence of moisture and alkaline binders such as calcium carbonate. BTW, the freebase is classified as a corrosive.
 
This is a very interesting observation.

I recall having had a number of those particular pills, but not having any of the adverse side-effects that is normally associated with Piperazine pills. The feeling was good, but not that of MDMA. More trippy. I thought MDA, but I'm no chemist, and that was purely speculation.

I know it could be a different batch and what not, but the resemblance is uncanny.

^^ Milli, there where at least 3 batches at the time, some pure white, some off white, some with score, some without.
Sounded like there were some good ones at the time, but crap ones too.

Am going to ceremonially flush this weekend with no little ones around
 
don't flush drugs into the water supply. They and millions of other pills leach into the ground water and then come back through. Consider accumulation
