Weed Ruined Music & Film For Me

Because everytime I watch a movie or listen to a song for the first time sober I'm reminded of how better it would be if I were high. Weed just makes everything that much better and intense.

is there a science as to why music sounds so much better high?
 
Really? I can't even concentrate for one minute when I'm high and therefore I'm only able to enjoy movies when I'm sober. Music is different because you don't really need to concentrate but weed just ruins any film for me.
 
well i spent the last 5 years high, and i don't think i i can concentrate without weed now.
but there is a science to everything, and i bet the reason music sounds better is the same as why simple activities are more entertaining.
 
i'll agree with u about the music but not film.

music is absolutely amazing when high...when sober - its good.

i cant concentrate on movies - i get bored way to easy just sitting there. LEGOS ARE THE SHIT!

Weed kinda ruined music for me when I'm sober, and ecstasy definitely ruined music for me when I'm high.

I mean really, there's no comparison to music when you're rolling. You can just listen to it forever.
 
It sounds better because you're high, you're on drugs, I don't know if it needs to get more specific than that.

Well anyways, I *thought* marijuana had ruined music and movies for me, because it got to the point that I didn't even enjoy them when I was high, because I wasn't high enough. Three day break is all it took and all of a sudden I'm enjoying music while sober just as much as I ever did while high. I imagine it will get better as time continues (I'm on day four now)

Grow some balls and quit for a while, you won't regret it!!!!

same here. i never enjoyed watching movies high, they are much better sober in my opinion. music on the other hand, is a completely different story. since i quit weed, music just isn't the same. i cannot connect with like i used to be able to before i smoked weed and i absolutely can't connect with it like i could when i was stoned. it's really frustrating to be listening to an incredible song and just feel like you can't connect with it. i mean, music is such an enjoyable thing and i feel like it's a pleasure that has been largely taken away from me by marijuana. i also hate thinking "man this would be so much better if i was high" every time i hear a good song. and finally, i feel like marijuana altered my taste in music, toward psychedelic music like jam bands, which i hate because as soon as i listen to music like that, i immediately want to get high.

i haven't smoked marijuana in over 3.5 years and my perception of music is still quite altered. glad quitting worked for you though.
 
^^^^ O Relli? How long did you smoke for before?

I suppose there could be long lasting affects. For myself the appreciation came back quickly.

You really feel altered after 3.5 years? Did you use other drugs besides marijuana?

Woord.. Whenever I smoke with any friends that have never rolled before, they all say music is soooo amazing high and I always try to explain to them how much better it is when on E.
 
lol im going to jump on the movies are better wagon. I find when on weed i can see into a new level of the film. I pick up on subtle hints to the story that i mite usually miss. Re watching a movie that i liked sober blazed most of the time gives me a new appreciation for it.
 
actualy now that i think about it. weed made me appreciate music more. i used to be mainly into the metal/hardcore scene, now im listening to rap, chopped n screw, techno, and reggae of course.

Marijuana makes you stay in the moment and focus better on what your doing. I could'nt imagine enjoying a movie or music without it. When I prepare to watch my favorite shows its the first thing I do.
