TDS Photo Thread...... Round III

Ok, well, I can't really pick favorites. The entire place is like my own personal work of art. To pick favorites would be like asking an artist to remove part of his favorite sculpture. So, I will give a collage of the entire work of art. This is my old place where I lived until a few months ago. The new place is basically the same but I haven't taken photos yet. I need more wall space because I can only display 30 to 40% of the works at one time.

Teehee I spy a large white teddy bear flatmate or two there! Nice and colourful place, good to see the starry night print too; fine taste indeed! My appartments used to look like that, I stuck up posters and fliers for every event I went to along with post cards, photos, posters, anything that caught my eye. I got sick of taking them down and putting them back up every time I moved (6 times in 4 years while at uni?) and haven't been motivated to decorate my current flat. It's about as dull and barren as could be.... aside from the mountains of debris and detritus pilling up on the floors =D

WOW!! 8o <3 <3 <3

Major tick of approval at all the fractal artwork :)

Is that a roll-up dart board?! My best mates have one at their house too =D

And I love all the sci-fi/psychedelic artwork!!

And wow.....just...wow :D

I know what you mean. I have moved 8 times in 11 years, and some of the posters have been to every stop.

But I think you should set it up again! I would be curious to see it.

Not a day goes by that I don't kick myself in the face for moving out of that place a year sooner than I had to. And it was in a big college town, so there were frequent parties at the apartment.

I have no idea what a roll up dart board is. That si a fairly thick and heavy board with a metal outer rim, so it definitely does not roll up.

Two more: I collect dice, brain teasers, and Rubik's cubes:

Oh my goodness, I am in love with your dice collection <3

A roll-up dart board is just that...a dart board that rolls up lol! It's a rectangle of felt with a flexible inner sheet of magnetic stuff, and magnetic darts.
Not conventional but definitely a good source of hilarity later in those messy evenings :D

Ooh FJones I looooove "Starry Night" I see it leaning against something.
Monet & Van Gogh are wonderful.
I have "Sunflowers" in my hallway, "Irises" in bedroom, and "Les Chrysanthemes" in the hallway as well.
And a picture by Philippe Noyer, two topless women with tigers (can't remember the name ? eek)
A photograph of corner of Collins & Elizabeth st in 1903 (Melbourne)
and of course - Tom Roberts "Shearing the Rams" :D

Oh, we just do the same with the real darts. People threw them from all over the place. Walls, ceilings, bulkheads, and art were all hit. I managed to get my feet a few times too and wake up confused with bloody socks.

Oh by the way, have you guys met Jay and Silent Bob yet? Don't think you have.
Their testicles are like 1/10th of their total body mass, they're gigantic!

They are my friends rats, they are just visiting my shoulder in that pic, they run around there, don't hide, not afraid of anything, did I not mention the testicles? LOL

When my room and bathroom are finally fully decorated I'll take pics. Although its NOT that interesting at all!
Although I need to get my Welsh culture stuff up and what not. I loved my trip to Wales, its become part of me and I want to go back SO bad.

Haha I used to have a rat, female though. The ENORMOUS TESTICLES on male rats weirded me out... ratties make fantastic pets :)

Edit: Photo because this is the photo thread after all. She was very old at this stage, a couple of months before she passed away hence the thinning hair around her face:

Impressive collection. My favorite is the first Van Gogh. I don't know the name of it though. Your frames are very nice. And, the one you drew is very nice as well.
