Birth Control + Narcs+ Benzo = Pregnancy?

Birth Control is an OTHER DRUG so I guess it's OK to post here. Sorry in advance if it's wrong to post here but I have a question.
My wife takes benzo's and narcs with me almost every day. Does narcotics (like Oxycontin or Norco) or benzos (like Xanax) mess with Birth Control to make it ineffective? Was gonna have my wife ask her DR. but...well...would asking a DR the question, "Hey, does taking Narcotics/Benzos every day many times a day interfere with BC?" I think he'd flip.

I don't really know the answer to your question however I don't think your doc would "flip" if she told him what her medication is,as long as she really needs the meds. You could always lie to the doc, I sure as hell do otherwise I wouldn't have all these K-Pins in front of me. Tell the doc you take (hydro,oxy,ect.) for pain and benzos for anxiety it's not uncommun for these two drugs to be prescibed simitanously.

None of the drugs you mentioned are known to reduce the efficacy of the birth control pill.
