Israel is under attack

Lawmaker Hanoch Milwidsky was asked as he defended the alleged abuse whether it was legitimate, "to insert a stick into a person's rectum?"

"Yes!" he shouted in reply to his fellow parliamentarian. "If he is a Nukhba [Hamas militant], everything is legitimate to do! Everything!"
@mal3volent Do you condemn this statement, or is rape okay to you if the victim is a brown person?

Side note: This thread is well past 250 pages, so I will let the current discussion unfold and then make a second thread to continue the discussion.

You literally just got done ignoring torture and mass killings of civillians

Civilians die in war. We disagree on whose fault the war is. I'm not ignoring anything.

But you calling Hamas, who are terrorists and rapists, "Palestinian resistance" ... while calling the same acts on the other side disgusting is... well. A bit hypocritical to say the least.

If there are IDF guilty of it, line them up next to Hamas
I won't shed a tear

You guys still haven't understood that both sides are shit?
Hamas is a terrorist organization, but so is the IDF.
The difference is that the IDF has the firepower to assassinate several journalists a week and kill tens of thousands of civilians.
It’s not even David v. Goliath, it is Goliath versus a small ant colony.
They may both intend to commit terrorism, but you don’t say that the terrorist ants are causing even a fraction of the destruction that the US-backed military force with tens of billions of $ of funding and a global propaganda machine that pays off most of Congress is causing.

Difference is, if Hamas had the same amount of power, they would exterminate every Jew in Israel.

But hey, at least you admit they're terrorists.

That's more than @someguyontheinternet is willing to do.

Israel has a valid claim for the land but fight beyond mere defense. The Palestinians are pawns for Iran and accept their Martyrdom freely.
The rest of the world is taking positions behind both polar forces. This will not bode well for humanity.

The world is betting the future of the the planet on an argument as futile as the Hatfields vs the McCoys. There is much to lose on both sides; only the powers of chaos and destruction are the prospective winners.

My humble $.02

Israel has a valid claim for the land
As a Jew, I disagree with this.
We left that land 2000 years ago and the only people there a century ago were the Palestinians.
Hundreds of thousands of people were massacred and pushed out of their land.
You can’t get rid of the Israelis at this point, but we could at least create a unified, secular, democratic state where Israelis, Palestinians, and anyone else can live together in peace.

Deny as you wish ... No one can stop you. We are stating opinions here, right?

Who do you think values the ideals of democracy, secularism, equal rights, feminism etc more? (While acknowledging neither are perfect)
Hamas, Iran, Hezbollah... or Israel and the United States?

I think that the Palestinian and Israeli peoples can both value those ideals, with the possible exception of secularism on both sides.
I do not think that any of those governments do other than the USA to a degree.

Well most of my Jewish friends say that God gave them that land. You must have a different opinion and I would love to hear what it is and why.
I’m an ethnic Jew but I’m a pantheist and don’t subscribe to any religion.
I know Jews who believe that, and many who do not.
But at the end of the day, “God gave us this land” is not a justification to massacre and displace over half a million people.
The Brits committed atrocities against Africans in the name of God.
Radical Islamic terrorists have killed thousands in the name of God.
The US massacred natives in the name of God.
I don’t see “God told us to do this” as a good argument.

The Indians have a valid claim to the land most of us are sitting on.

What a lot of people lose sight of is the fact that when things are "quiet" over there, Israel is steadily taking Palestinian land making settlements on the West Bank and displacing families. The Palestinians aren't sitting around drinking beer with everything hunky dory and they suddenly decide to stage a terrorist attack.

Jesus would puke at the thought that we were killing thousands for the land he was crucified on. “My kingdom is not of this world. If my kingdom were of this world, my servants would have been fighting, that I might not be delivered over to the Jews. But my kingdom is not from the world.”

That's fine.

Now you possibly see why I said that this does not bode well for humanity. This is an ancient war. We (the entire world) do not belong in it's battle and in taking sides we are betting with the planet's future.

Iran has nuclear weapons and so does Israel. Let Israel and Palestine settle this alone.
