Trump shot

Pure Libertarian tenets sound all good and everything until you delve into them a little deeper.
A usage fee on the highways if you have a license, fire insurance or they watch your house burn down, I guess you'd be paying the cops "protection money", fees if your kids are in school.
Basic civilization has to come from somewhere

Ye I knew that I just mean why in Vietnam specifically. There are other communist countries so why Vietnam.

I’m 46 and have barely any education. This is a drugs forum though so what u expect.
Sorry for late reply. Vietnam because it was far away and a 3rd world country, and therefore we wouldn't ever face consequences from them directly. Whereas if we were to fight for the contras against the sandinistas directly (rather than just pay Manuel Noriega to kill their leader) we may face some consequences because South America is close to us. We also didn't have allies there other than the other (small comparatively) group of right-wing extremists we fought and lost alongside.

Thought it was a peice of glass that hit him?
Can't tell if you're being serious or not. It was definitely not a piece of glass that hit him.

Trump's campaign is known to go through some cheaper, less secure spots, which they've been talked to before about, evidently, and choose to ignore. I'm just really thankful Trump wasn't assassinated. Close call. I know this may sound crazy, but I honestly hope that the brush with death gave him pause and well help him to be a better man and potential president. I doubt that will happen. He's nearly 80; it's asking a lot of him to change now, but still. I guy can dream, can't he?

^It is sure it is not a fragment of anything but bullet at this point and that checks out with you underlucosa .... If so fine ill drop it; other than I want to see the bloody slug! He did have dodgy security, even I realized that watching a couple less important events.

Does the devil need our advocacy?
No but it is fun to think through both sides..... nah my point stands. If you are capable have a rifle and means/finances I don't see anyone on earth as 'untouchable'. But again I dont hang around the uber old wealth it is possible people never leave their compounds etc. Nay probable. Said compounds are still able to be breached but I digress.

unodelacosa, I want to be very clear that I am not saying that it was definitely shrapnel which hit Trump. Never did. I am just saying that a graze just like that is one in a million and that that is one more data point. As said, knowing it was shrapnel would actually put that data point to rest. It's wouldn't be that big a thing, reassuring, actually.

I'm sorry but I saw no actual new information in the videos you put up. Again, I am making no claims, but there's no new data there. Possibly they do graphically show just how fine that angle needed to be.

Former Secret Service agent Rich Staropoli said the AR-15-style rifle used by the gunman fires a 5.56 millimeter bullet at such high speeds — over 2,000 miles an hour — that just the air pressure as it passes can cause extensive damage.

“The shock wave alone could have ripped his ear off,” Staropoli said of Trump. “It’s amazing the bullet nipped him” and didn’t do any other damage.

“It’s a one in a billion type of thing,” he added. A fraction of a millimeter closer, "and this would be a different story. It really is incredible the thin line here between just a nick and devastating bodily damage.”

^ Yes. The lesser of two evils for sure. We live in a capitalist society. That would be awhole nother issue... which not big on capitalism but know of no other better serving model?

Does one exist? When I say serving I mean better for the MAJORITY of the citizens.
