like when Trump was president and said he was making "the biggest tax cuts in history" for the working class, Fox news also parroted that.... when in fact it ultimately RAISED taxes on working people after a few years, and was a massive tax cut to corporations, which led to the biggest transfer of wealth in modern history (prior to COVID).

Just because a government is influenced by a religion doesn't mean that all practices of that religion have the same beliefs. Nearly all Muslims I've spoken to tell me that the Quran forbids violence but some people interpret it in wild ways which is how you get extremism. It's the same with the christian extremists who hate gay people in the US. A true follower of Jesus would not hate people, they would want to help but instead there are preachers who cherrypick and tell their congregations some nonsense and we get hateful Christians

The Bible explicitly states the punishment for homosexuality is death. Jesus did not in any way wipe out the Old Testament.
