Israel is under attack

I want to know what people in this thread defending Israel think about apartheid South Africa? Was that Gucci with y'all too?
I think the racial group that took over South Africa currently is racist and has threatened genocide against minority groups. And South Africa is currently a safe and prosperous nation /s

He makes very good documentaries.

I'm trying to rationalize this comparison to apartheid. Is that really the best word for it? They are two different countries, although that may not have always been the case. It's separation based on religion more than race.

Also there are 1.6 million Palestinian people who are citizens of Israel. They make up 20% of Israel's population.

This whole conflict has really solidified my deep hatred of Abrahamic religions. Violent, tribalist, chaotic nonsense. They seed more hatred and violence than peace and love, and they always have.

Humans need to see our similarities, not our differences.

I don't think its fair to suggest if someone says Israel has a right to defend itself or destroy Hamas that they somehow also think apartheid South Africa was OK.

They aren't separate if Israel controls all inflow, outflow, movement of people, and even has settlers invading their country. That isn't a separate country at all

Israel controls all inflow, outflow, movement of people
Do they? Both Palestinian zones have borders connecting to Egypt and Jordan.

and even has settlers invading their country
There are almost as many Palestinians living in Israel as there are Palestinians living in Gaza and West Bank

Why are Israelites living in Palestine called "settlers" but Palestinians living in Israel are called Israeli citizens?

(Not exactly pointing those questions to you, I'm honestly just curious)

As far as I know they aren't called citizens, they are restricted from owning property and voting

Doesn't Israel control borders from within the west bank and Gaza? That's what Israel

I thought that stuff was covered in the documentary I posted that you replied to

That's not true. They have full citizen rights, according to every single google result and quotes from Palestinian people themselves on social media.

It seems a lot more complicated than that. Both Egypt and Hamas have closed the border and do not want to open it. Israel has also been bombing it, but they do not "control" it.

"The United States has been pressuring Egypt to establish a humanitarian corridor for civilians in Gaza, as well as for foreigners. Egypt has said it won’t allow refugees to flood its territory and has instead insisted that Israel allow it to deliver aid to Gazans.

Opening of the border is a complicated matter given the number of parties involved. It requires the approval of Egypt and Hamas, which directly control the crossing, as well as an okay from Israel, which has been bombing Gaza, including Rafah’s vicinity. Egypt has demanded assurances that Israel won’t bomb aid convoys."

Egypt not Isreal controls the Rafah crossing into Gaza https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rafah_Border_Crossing

Forget it, look at Gaza and admit you are wrong.

You don't get to post your BS propaganda lies and then move on when its made clear you are wrong and full of turd and say "And what about"

No, lets go focus on your ignorance or lies.
So why is the average age of the Palestinian 18?

Completely changing the topic. Interesting.

Demographers say it’s a combination of unusual factors. One is that an unusually low proportion of Palestinian women hold jobs. “It’s the place in the world where the least women work outside the home,” says Jon Pedersen of the Fafo Institute, a centre for demographic and social research

The second factor contributing to the high fertility rate is the fact that while women are housebound, their husbands earn more money as their families expand. “It’s employers that are willing to pay it,” says Pedersen. “Traditionally, men will get extra wages if they have extra children.”

A study published in 2006 found that despite high educational achievement among Gazan women – all have at least nine years of schooling – and relatively low and constant infant mortality rates at around 25 per 1000 births, few chose to pursue independent careers. During the Intifada uprising that began in 1987, the research found, there was a surge in marriage rates, with many educated women prepared to marry men who were less well-educated.

Makes you think if the women of Palestine want to have so many children, or if the men are forcing them to.

Also, waging war against a powerful military will reduce life expectancy.

Sure sounds to me like the IDF controls things at all borders from inside the west bank, I don't know what makes you think its any different in the other contested territories

"Following Defense Minister Naftali Bennett’s instruction, the Israeli military said it would not allow the Palestinians to transfer their products through their land crossing to Jordan, the occupied West Bank‘s only direct export route to the outside world"
