Israel is under attack

I think any source can be read and evaluated but it is up to you to know what implicit biases exist. You have to look at where they get their own information to produce that article and ask are they trying to promote an agenda or are they attempting to report objective truth.

You don't believe everything the IDF or US military says, nor should you. You wouldn't believe everything the Daily Wire puts out, nor should you.

No different in this case with two Muslim authors attempting to sanitize Islamic scripture.
Don't consider the source so much that you forget to actually read the content....

Good point there.

I'm not quite sure tbh as things are so backward & fucked up BUT it has to begin from somewhere OR we as a Collective are going to be doomed.

Come on let's cut the bullshit & trying on your part to score points (which you have done more than anyone else against me may I add) my point of view does stand up.

How it is going to be done I'm not sure about but we have to begin somewhere & it isn't in killing more people.
I really try to have Hope for Humanity but the more I see totally blind & borderline Mentally Ill idiots speaking the more I hope in a way for Nuclear bombs to fall, sometimes I'd dance for Joy under the Mushroom Cloud.

I'm not trying to score points -- I'm trying to get to the truth.

And I think the truth is that the vast majority of people on Earth want peace. For the most part, the ones who don't are religious fundamentalists...the most dangerous ones now being Islamist terrorists.

900 years ago I'd be saying the same thing about Christians. Fortunately, that religion has evolved into a thing that can exist in a peaceful secular society. Same with Judaism and most other religions.

There is a unique problem in the Islamic world though that prevents moderate Muslims from denouncing their more radical counterparts. Even in the West this is true. There is a reluctance. Especially in European countries that are progressive secular democracies, there are growing numbers of emboldened fanatics. Fueled by (mostly) false narratives of Islamophobia that have been promoted in every major news publication since 9/11.

I am much more sympathetic to those in the Middle East who would like to speak up but can't.

Ultimately, I fear this will be the downfall of humanity. Politically correct fools skipping their way into oblivion.

We agree there 100%.

@mal3volent you're a pretty rude person, and far less knowledgeable than you think you are.

I love it guys. When I see blatant insults and one line posts without any rebuttal that tells me my arguments are sound.
You are the one being insulting.

How much of a rebuttal did you give anything I said? Sure there were multiple lines but it was just you laughing, none of it had any actual merit or content.

I know you're joking man but it doesn't have to be homophobic every time. I have very thick skin I'm just saying change it up a bit every now and then. <3

You dismissed my cited sources about the Quran being misinterpreted by just saying ~"don't believe everything you read," and I'm guessing you didn't actually read it yourself.

Do you deny that those sources are biased?

Sorry is this The Lounge? I thought we were in Current Events and Politics where people talk like, and treat each other as, adults.

Did you read them?

You stopped your reply a minute streak so I assume the answer is no

No it is not the Lounge. I'm the only staff member here right now, doing my best to keep the thread on track and respond to everyone I'm being quoted by.

So that's why I broke my reply a minute streak. You don't have to be a smart ass.

Yes I read them. Not every single word. If I go back and read every single word, will you admit they aren't even attempting to make objectively verifiable claims?
