Israel is under attack

I think the Left are more dogmatic than Christians.

Don't worry, Bro. We can continue roasting lefties all week. This party is just getting started. Today's scandal? While Hamas may be nothing more than a set of rocket-bullies, their buddies Hezbollah are actually terrible people. More to come. Today's reading? Hezbollah are some of the world's leaders in child prostitution, especially in South America.

The left didn't do their homework, they're going to waffle over this rather than admit they were wrong.

Ah yes, all aboard the "all Palestinians are also in Hezbollah" boat!

That seems to be an issue that affects both sides in this conflict.

Was the Hamas attack of value to the ordinary Palestinian? No. I don't think ANYONE expected any other response from Israel. So why do it?

In the most recent opinion pole carried out in Palestine (2022), Hamas was supported by just 27% of Palestinians. Fatah polled 41%.

So 'who gains'? Someone who doesn't want an election in Palestine.

It's also worth looking at the Geopolitics. Israel was about to normalize relations with Saudi Arabia, a nation that declared The Muslim Brotherhood to be a terrorist group in 2014. Hamas is the Palestinian Wing of The Muslim Brotherhood.

So Hamas gains from stopping that.

I'm not saying anyone REALLY knows the logic behind the Hamas attacks but those are just two things I have noted.

Some history from a pro-Israeli perspective. I don't know enough to comment either way, but I do agree with the sentiments towards the end about doing something positive (which I elucidated already a bit in this thread).

whoa, such bad small children terrorists. good thing the idf took videos of themselves sniping those bad kids... not cowardly at all to snipe little kids that definitely don't live in an open air prison or whatever and stuff. how could those CHILDREN peacefully protest? that's a SERIOUS crime and needed to be met by fearless and righteous deadly force, of course. evil free speech needs to be stomped out... don't they know they don't have a first amendment of the u.s. constitution like we do here in america?

speaking of america, very so so righteous settlers from america and other countries are such good ppl, they totally belong there where other ppl used to live... cause you know, a really old book of oral tradition parables said so. show those pesky palestinians who is boss! that place that used to be called palestine has a NEW name, so those palestinians need to materialize a NEW place to live! good thing those brave settlers are protected by the idf even though they don't have to volunteer or have been born within a million miles of israel; so brave. so righteous.

press? nope, no right to free press... who cares that it's a war crime?

and those pesky funeral goers? how dare they mourn the dead and think they can have a moment of peace? good on the brave idf for beating them and using peaceful stun grenades on them. stupid mournful human beings having a mournful human being moment lol, how dare they live life? how dare they be born in a place they used to be able to call home?

The restricted supplie
the "war crimes" you mean... and no, they started LONG ago.

admit they were wrong.
about what? SUPPORT of hamas and/ or hezbollah is FAR from a mainstream liberal position.

the left is NOT wrong to want palestinian children to not be... you know, slaughtered, humiliated, and terrorized by the EVIL israeli regime run by MONSTERS and war criminals.

I think the Left are more dogmatic than Christians
the irony is that this is a position of faith. unless you have some really nice evidence? the "left" isn't even a cohesive group... for instance, ask a socialist if they like liberals.

Never heard of this guy, but a very interesting character.
Mosab Hassan Yousef - Wiki
Mosab Hassan Yousef (Arabic: مصعب حسن يوسف; nicknamed "The Green Prince"; born 5 May 1978)[3] is a Palestinian who worked undercover for Israel's internal security service Shin Bet from 1997 to 2007.
Shin Bet considered him its most valuable source within the Hamas leadership. The information Yousef supplied prevented dozens of suicide attacks and assassinations of Israelis, exposed numerous Hamas cells, and assisted Israel in hunting down many militants, and incarcerating his own father, Hamas leader Sheikh Hassan Yousef
"Religion steals freedom, kills creativity, turns us into slaves and against one another. Yes, I am talking about Christianity as well as Islam. Most Christians I have seen, seem to have missed the point, that Jesus redeemed us from religion. Religion is nothing but man's attempts to get back to God. Whether it is Islam, Christianity, Judaism, Buddhism, Hinduism, animism, any ism. Religion can't save mankind. Only Jesus could save mankind through his death and resurrection. And Jesus is the only way to God."

PLEASE add reference if you expect something to be treated as factual.

Although the speaker did give his name, transliteration from Arabic can be difficult. I will let people read about the gentleman in question and come to their own conclusions.

Always ask 'who gains?'
