^^^ teacher needs suspending while investigation takes place - school board cannot ignore that either surely,

Amazing that the media doesn't want to know either, surely they'd be all over something as sensationalist as that, also doesn't add up

It's getting hard to even believe one's own thoughts thesedays though, nevermind the evidence of our own eyes or what people write on a forum. 2 plus 2 doesn;t add up anymore. I have no answers though. One thing I do know is that I wouldn't be sending my kid to that school though, not until this situation is addresed to my satisfaction anyway
This is canada so the media isn't exactly normal and would shy away from anything that could be taken as anti trans

really? you've never met a girl who behaves more like society's idea of a boy - a tomboy, so to speak? or the opposite?

what's your opinion of, for example, somebody like dylan mulvaney? would you describe this as boyish, or manly?

just curious.

alasdair

Dylan is a grifter. Should be obvious at this point.

My neighbors son is 12 and his teacher keeps pushing that he's a she because he plays violin and sings in the choir. He's also a very timid kid and don't like sports and most friends are girls. Didn't think those things were signs of your gender.

Another kid overheard and now he's getting bullied confused and depressed. He refuses to go back to school and keep asking his mother if he's really a boy because he doesn't feel like a girl.

That teacher should be fired. A normal little boy with zero trans feelings is now depressed and bullied.
Makes you wonder how schools are confusing and how many kids jump to be trans from their teacher pushing.
Crazy world we live in
WTF seriously? You are in Canada so it is not surprising.

Can she sue the school. or home school him? Or get him to see a counselor-not the "gender expert" type? Or can you and she tell him how just because he sings, and plays the violin it doesn't mean he is trans?

I hope he isn't being bullied or harassed online. I read that despite how most people get teased, bullied, etc. how due to social media instead of 1-5 bullies at school kids can now have 100s online.

I am really glad I did not grow up with social media, the internet, mobile phones, etc.

the school board can easily turn a blind eye because they know the law will rule in their favour if the parents go ballistic.

this already played out in BC courts -

that's not the most detailed account but the most un-editorialized summary, perhaps.

a similar thing happened to a niece of mine (school trying to convince her she's trans) and her parents were blown away by their complete loss of control over the situation.

this type of thing is happening all over the place. it's another mass hysteria like the pandemic.

I highly doubt here in Canada she would have much of a chance and would probably just be branded a bigot. I asked him to help me paint my back steps so i'm going to talk to him then and remind him that he's talented and anyone can sing and play the violin. Breaks my heart because he's been shoveling my driveway and mows my lawn and he's the sweetest kid.
His mom is a nurse practitioner and his father is a bank manager and she's mentioned sending him to a private catholic school. She's not sending him back to that school and i don't blame her.
It's sad. She's scared the teacher will call children's services saying they don't support their trans kid. The teacher is trans so she may just be projecting but that's just wrong.
Kids these days have it so much worse. In our day we didn't have internet bullies or people recording our embarrassments. I can see why kids are more depressed these days.
Being more tolerant is great because i went to school with gay people in the early 90's and they stayed in the closet out of fear and shame, no adolescent needs that. Their experience in school was nothing like the straight kids and that's just wrong. Things are better that way now but it's like we have gone to far. Mutilating and sterilizing teens is soo wrong.
Remember in the 90's when lesbians were the big thing and girls would say they're bi but never have relations with another woman outside of kissing to tease young guys at parties. All those women, well the most part are married with kids and straight- like it was a fad. Seems being trans is the new fad kids are jumping on.
I saw a video of a girl who identifies as paint. people trying to hard to be different when we already are different from each other.

Look at Thailand , they have ladyboys, some are more attractive than real women, but they call themselves ladyboys because they understand they are a male, and a lot will straight up say they have mental illness, there a lot of interviews with ladyboys out there, the fact we even have to talk about if a girl can be born in a man’s body is insanity in itself….

Hey technically I have an extra x chromosome. I'm am a xxy male. At 14 I was forced onto anabolic steroids. The symptoms after each shot were intense. I pleaded with my parents and doctors to stop taking the shots. I was full of rage and depression. I wanted to hurt myself and people, the side effects were just too much.

It wasn't fun or cool to undergo hormonal therapy. This was back in 2003 before all this trans / gender identity crisis stuff. There are real cases like this where people are actually just following the advice of the doctors.

I'm not trans or fluid and I don't pretend to know what everyone's issues are.
I just see everyone as people.

Peace

right, but they are boys. born as males with male genitalia.

why aren't you referring to them as just "boys"?

can't believe you're buying into their woke bullshit and using their preferred nomenclature.

muh free speech blah blah blah etc.

alasdair
I think the ladyboys get more respect cause they are showing attachment to reality :/ and they put in the effort to look like the sex they want to identify with, not many of them are just dudes wearing lipstick carrying a purse…in other words, it’s hard to respect a lunatic

interesting selective outrage.

so you're fine with boys trying to look like girls as long as they try harder to look like girls.

i guess you must really respect trans people who go through reassignment surgery.

alasdair
If they are adults I’m all for it, do what you gotta do, but again leave children out of it, that’s where the weirdos create a problem

so they are lunatics, insanity in itself, but you're all for it.

ok.

alasdair
Personal freedoms n what not…but again, leave kids out of it, if you want to jump off a bridge I think you have every right to, as long as you don’t hurt anyone els in the process…it’s really not that complicated of a concept

that's the way things seem to be going. the government has succeeded in driving a wedge between folks and now more are choosing not to send their kids to the state-run schools. a generation of kids that will live in an apartheid state.
