Jan 6 Attack on the Capitol and the aftermath

They still teach about Weimar. Think about it, if adolf hitler isn’t the most famous historical figure of all time, he’s right up there…so of course they’re gonna give at least a cursory mention to what came before and led to him, right

The popular understanding is of course very hazy, stereotyped and un-nuanced (as is the case with all historical topics, really) but the facts about that time period are out there for anyone who cares to learn about them, it’s been studied in granular detail by historians who consider it a “cautionary tale”
Lol they don’t talk about about the social issues, or the economic factors that led to it though. The degeneracy to the printing of money, they only say hitler came to power bc he made people think the Jews are bad, but never go into the details. And they very much should, otherwise America could be 110.

You should check out the book “sieg heil! an illustrated history of Germany from Bismarck to Hitler” by Stefan lorant if you’re personally interested in the topic and haven’t already read it, I think you’d like it

It’s composed of hundreds of pictures and images from the Weimar era, along with extensive commentary by the author, a photojournalist who worked in Germany during the 1920s. He makes a lot of interesting observations about that time period. The fascinating photographs make the book though imo

They do Droppers, they really do. As UK residents it took the 2 wars to show us just how small, insignificant and socially inept we really were when it came down to it and having been put well and truly in our place the series of fuck ups we made - just from the Boer War onwards when looking at the events of the 20th Century - is not a good luck, even with our disgusting history. The rise of fascism in one of the most progressive countries on the planet (in thought, engineering as well as of course drugs) is a part of the story that cannot be ignored whatever way you tell it, especially considering the very economic stressors you mention were as much a result of our Great War 'Victory' as anything else, including the aggravating factors following Wall St. crash.

All money is fiat currency anyway.

It didn’t used to be fiat currency, and it’s what leads to the collapse every single time. What I find wild is that the trans agenda nonsense happened in Weimar, and played out the exact same way. Are we stuck in some loop? This spiral downward can all be traced back to a single point, when we abandoned the gold standard. Well.. at least in the US.

^ it's "capitol police", note spelling.

now we're trusting the capitol police? i thought they couldn't be trusted. blue lives matters but except those guys, right?

it's hard to keep up!

i guess the rule is when they agree with you, they can be trusted. when they disagree, they can't. got it.

I am sorry, but when comments are made stating that, when folks discuss, describe, debate and research the collapse of the Weimer Republic and the manner in which the Nazi party found themselves in power, "they don’t talk about about the social issues, or the economic factors that led to it though. The degeneracy to the printing of money, they only say hitler came to power bc he made people think the Jews are bad, but never go into the details.", my notion of how anyone who actually considers the above to be an actual phenomenon would care about any objective or consistent rationalisation about anything remains as non existent as it has done since they all discovered 'politics' post the Neo - con disaster, largely as a response to the unforgivable disgrace that saw a Black man elected to the office of President.

It’s the chief and he’s speaking out against the establishment narrative, confirming what most folx paying attention already know. He’s doing this at no benefit to himself while putting himself and his family in harms way. They definitely killed people over less, five of the officers present at the riot have literally ‘committed suicide’ since 1/6.

They do not discuss this history in the US, and they sure as hell don’t go into the details in public school. When arguably it’s one of the most important periods in recent human history. I never claimed books about it weren’t written, or anything about how europoors are taught about it tbf

It’s easy to see the point you are attempting to make, but fox isn’t even allowed to report on this stuff. It’s why they lost their star talent. And unfortunately for you it’s the only mainstream channel that leans right, literally every other channel is neo liberal and repeats every single point you make adnauseam. It’s important to point out that most of your talking points are also those shared by the CIA.

false. saw it with my own eyes yesterday and you're parroting it pretty much word for word.

less fox news brah.

I’d have to see it to believe it, Jan 6 is essentially a holy day to the establishment and it’s followers. Fox would have to tread lightly if they were to disparage their narrative in any meaningful way imo

this emerged yesterday and it's pretty serious.

video: Trump attorney John Lauro: He has the right to protest an election he felt was unfair

if you skip to about 5:40

"What President Trump said is, ‘Let’s go with option D,' Let’s just halt, let’s just pause the voting and allow the state legislatures to take one last look and make a determination as to whether or not the elections were handled fairly."

from the indictment:

"The Defendant and Co-Conspirator 2 then asked the Vice President to either unilaterally reject the legitimate electors from the seven targeted states, or send the question of which slate was legitimate to the targeted states’ legislatures."

lauro's comment is basically an admission of guilt. live on tv.

only the best people.
