Here's the same guy from last year doing the same thing again. Apparently the organizers of the parade weren't bothered by the backlash. Notice how he deliberately stops directly in front of the children?

The most disturbing thing is the dozens of other adults clapping and cheering him on.

Some are just doing it with impunity now because they know it upsets their political adversaries. Others are truly pedophiles. Either way, the current social justice climate lets them get away with it. It's sick.

LGB must separate from the TQ+ asap. We want nothing to do with this shit.

I've always wondered what the consesus on this was. It seems like TQ+ just added themselves without asking, then it was adopted because the left always wants to be inclusive, to a fault.

The culture, politics, and social issues are so much different from gay/bi people.

Seems like an easy way to gain legitimacy by associating yourself with an already established and accepted group.
 
I have absolutely no problem with trans people obviously. I'm glad to be associated with any of the transsexual individuals I've known over the years even though there have only been a handful. Honestly I think there are loads of real trans people who don't want to be lumped in with the "gender expression" QIA2S+ types, but they can't say it because they would become pariahs. Some think that's weak but it can be a terrifying prospect to be ostracized for a second time in life. First by a large portion of your family/friends when you come out the first time, then again when you commit thought crimes against the "woke" status quo. I know what it's like.
 
By the way, I absolutely don't have anything against "gender non conforming" people either. It's just gender bending didn't used to be the sacred cow it has become today. It was just a thing some people did. We just went on about our lives rather than trying to completely restructure society.

Gender dysphoria isn't about boys liking pink or girls not wanting to wear dresses. These are reductionist stereotypes... the same ones generations of people have fought against. Yet when you listen to parents describing their "Trans children" nowadays, these are the only things they talk about. Pretty ironic.
 
Personally, I'm of the belief that whatever happens between two (or more) consenting adults, in the privacy of the bedroom (or just not in public) is their choice.

As long as you're not infringing on the rights of others, have a ball.

The children need to be left alone, at least in regards to taking "puberty blockers", cross sex hormones, and actual surgical procedures, which can all have significant and long lasting negative effects.

Part of the reason we have laws around the age of consent for children is because they simply do not possess the mental faculties to make such an important decision as (potentially permanent) body modification, or consent to sex, or do most things in society.

Complete annecdote, but I've seen interviews with de-transitioners that said they were never warned of the potential health issues, including sterility. There is an entire industry built on around this. Somebody who "fully transitions" including all the surgery that entails, does so at the cost of five, it six figures of revenue for hospital doing it (I don't have a source off the top of my head, but a google search should reveal this.


I'm not gay, but I'm definitely of the opinion that the LGB and the TQ+ should be so hastily grouped together, and I think that's a mistake that lot of people in America make.

I walked in the San Francisco gay pride parade, which is a huge fucking event there. Like the damn Macy's Thanksgiving type shit. I was in the actual parade walking next to a float for the business one of my family worked for.

I remember seeing gay dudes in the black leather biker outfit, but had assless chaps. I also remember some lesbian float that had several topless women dancing.

But the guys were wearing thongs (probably, I don't remember) and the lesians were wearing heart shaped pasties over their nipples.

There were probably hundreds of kids in that crowd. Many thousands of people.

But I honestly didn't even blink an eye or think about it....

There is something different when you twerk, bend over, and make obviously sexual motions in front of children. Worse than partial nudity by 10x.

Forgot to add, that parade was back in 2010 or so, way before trans issues were on every TV

I think every rational adult agrees with that. Everyone remembers how stupid they were in their thought process and decision making before they were an adult, and even into their early 20s.

We should not be giving depressed, confused, and hormonal kids life altering irreparable changes to their body and mind just because they think they need it.

Oh it "reduces suicides"? Such a study would be predicted on old data. Surely there must be other options for therapy until they reach 18.

If we're chopping off boobs and dicks for kids, might as well start giving them penis enlargement surgery just because they ask for it.... gender affirming care, right?

Although, it's a much smaller problem than people think. I believe there are <200 gender reassignment procedures done per year in the US, and only about 10 or less are kids.

It's not some rampant plague.

I believe there are something like something like 10,000 kids in the USA on puberty blockers/hormones, and I believe that most of the time when somebody starts down that path they generally see it through.

That numbery may or may not be true, I don't feel like sourcing it right now, sorry for my laziness.

I think the main thing that reduces suicides is the fact that 95% of kids/teens questioning whether or not they are trans, without any kind of medical intervention, desist and end up being gay. And In doing so substantially "reduces suicides", which I don't recall saying, but since you brought it I figured I'd pepper it in.

Whether or not you consider it a rampant plague now, consider our society in 20 years, after all the living, working generations have been propagandized since kindergarden by collectivist, identitarian politics. Politics really only moves in directions. I hate the DNC, and I hate the GOP, because they're just DNC light and have ZERO conviction.

Also have you ever watched any interviews/videos with detransitioners? It'd a pretty different perspective, and i think that's helpful, and can open people to ideas that may be new to them. I think it's always important to be learning, that's why this is such a great place

It’s similar to when trumpers cheer on the flag etc. ‘’’tolerance’’’ is their patriotism

There was a lot of discussion about that in the gay community going back to the 70s at least, especially in the context of trans women being allowed in all-female homosocial environments for women (ie spaces dedicated both to 2nd wave feminism of the time + gay rights movement) A lot of the so-called TERF arguments can be found from this time period (it’s also fun to watch modern male anti trans people rediscover authors like Dworkin etc for their arguments lol)

But, I think it was always a minority position, compared to the gay folks who were willing to make a good faith effort at accepting such people. The reasons for why aren’t surprising imo…when you’re part of a group in society that has been historically shit on, it often makes you more attune to issues related to social discrimination, and more amenable to those who characterize their own struggle in such a way. That’s without getting into the fact that a lot of the attacks leveled against trans people today are literally the exact same attacks launched on gay people in the 70s, how they wanna corrupt and diddle the youth etc. Now maybe it wasn’t accurate then but it’s accurate now…maybe it was accurate then AND now…or maybe it was never accurate in both cases. But go back 40+ years, listen to people in the anti gay thing and how they framed and contextualize their movement…it’s pretty hard to miss the similarities.

That’s why the Deaf community has historically been more accepting of Blacks and gays; if you’re cut off from mainstream society, you’re going to make your OWN society.

This notwithstanding the fact that Deaf whites and Deaf blacks went to segregated schools for the Deaf and therefore deaf Blacks developed their own variant of ASL, now called BASL. This was then practically eradicated when segregation ended, in favor of white ASL.
