2024 US Presidential Election

we can say that with a reasonable degree of surety.

the issue of election fraud - certainly to the extent that anything, anywhere would have changed an outcome - is effectively settled. it's been litigated again and again and again in over 80 lawsuits, most of which were thrown out for a frankly embarrassing lack of evidence. trump and his campaign love to obfuscate and delay in the media and the court of public opinion but their bullshit tactics fall flat on their face when they're required to support their claims with, you know, facts and evidence.

add in the embarrassingly laughable pillow guy and his ridiculous, baseless claims and sidney powell's epic mic-drop 'kraken' which turned out to be absolutely nothing.

i totally respect a difference of opinion but, on this issue specifically, it's hard to take seriously anybody who's still blowing the 2020 election fraud trumpet.

i agree there were mistakes both by biden - who at least had the decency to take some responsibility and admit his mistakes - and by the previous administration, whose decisions affected biden's options.

I’m not saying he rigged the electoral votes. I am saying he lied during the debate about the hunter biden laptop which may have turned the election.

Personally, I don’t like trump or Biden for president. Trump is not some great savior of America. But if I had to choose between the two I would vote for Trump this time.

I really wish an independent could win.

It's truly bizarre that we're likely going to see Biden vs Trump.

Biden is well past retirement age. Trump is literally on trial for rape.

If either of those things were an issue for any other candidate it would immediately disqualify them for presidency, it's only because both Trump and Biden were former presidents we all just have to go with it.

Just goes to show it's all a facade to maintain power, the establishment. What the people actually want doesn't really matter in comparison.

Biden is SO bad I think a vast majority of people that arnt just “team blue no matter what” realize how bad his term has been they even know there is no way he could win another term….like seriously how anyone could be like “yea the past 4 years had been fine” is beyond me, unless CNN and WAPOO are the only news they consume

^ do you read the week?

this is a somewhat balanced article: What has Biden done as president?

Thanks I’ll check it out. I’m a little kava’d out right now. But I’ll check it out when it wears off some.

I will say that I’m unsure of more than ever in regards to pro life verses pro choice. It seems that if I am anti prohibition that I would have to be pro choice as well..:ugh…the confusion.

I was watching Michael Knowles debate a medical student in their thirds year and a point he kept bringing up is that if we have laws against drug use then we can have laws deciding what ppl can do with their bodies. Kinda cringe arguement. And I was pro life before this interview with exceptions. Now I’m confused more than ever. His arguement actually turned me against him lol…

But I’ve always been independent so I guess it’s not a big surprise.

It would seem that if I ever want to see prohibition end in my lifetime that I’ll have to start leaning left, but idk what values I’m willing to sacrifice for that. And no I would never sacrifice lives for that. That’s not what I mean. That’s a separate issue.

Biden has been a weak president, but the hysteria that has been spread throughout the political right about him being the worst president in American history is nonsense.

I wish with everything I am that I will not have to choose between Biden and Trump AGAIN. I do not want to vote for Biden. But to me it is blatantly obvious that Trump did far more damage to America, and I shudder to think of what he will do with another 4 years. Another 4 years of Biden will be business as usual.

Trump raised the national deficit tremendously, just as did Biden. Trump also actively pushed divisive rhetoric and emboldened many congresspeople to adopt his "lie until it's fact" approach, which is incredibly dangerous. This is his main harm, that and the incitement of violence/insurrection to keep himself in power, and his suggestion that we overturn the Consistitution so that he can stay in power. It's difficult for me to comprehend how anyone dosn't see that as an outrage, especially given the American right are,. by and large, far more likely to revere the constitution as something sacrosanct.

that's incorrect xork.

deficit when trump took office: $585B
deficit when trump left office: $3100B
increase: $2515B (429%)

deficit when biden took office: $3100B
deficit today: $2770B
reduction: $330B (10%)
estimate of deficit for FY2023: $1150B
estimated total reduction: $1950B (62%)

I don't doubt it, I like to look stuff up myself though. I'll do so when I think of it again tomorrow. I don't have the willpower to do it right now, but that's a figure I'd like to confirm so that I can reuse it.

Indeed. I mean, look at the shitshow Biden inherited. It's beyond me how some people refuse to acknowledge that he didn't have a lot to work with when he showed up for his first day on the job. They all believe, well, he's here now. That means he's responsible for every single little thing regardless of if he is literally cleaning up after the last guy.

DeSantis is a Bush family plant. He's been allowed to be a Trump lite and impose laws in FL that are populist in order to take back power of the party. This sets another establishment Republican, one which can be manipulated and told what to do, to regain control of the GOP. We have a one party dictatorship because both parties are beholden to the same fucking people. The whole system needs to be brought down, and everyone who was in congress investigated, tried, and put in prison for their war crimes, treason, financial crimes, and other corrupt activities. Every single President, VP, and Secretary of State who are still living should immediately be put in prison since we already know they've all committed crimes against humanity as well as treason. They don't deserve a fair trial because they've caused worldwide strive, death, war, poverty, and disease.

This guy's been on a PR spree, probably a good way to gain some Twitter infamy at least

Funny, I like him, apparently he's an antivaxxer too? Not even a anti COVID vaxxer. Plot thickens.

Best odds on Trump are like +250? =D that's about as much chance as Real winning against City next week. I'd be worried

indeed!

i posted a tweet from him recently in which he made a statement about 'doing something' about the nra. now mysteriously deleted as he shores up his establishment cred.
