Well it's taken from a Russian language site who uses the same Z as the Russian military uses. The name, translated from Russian is 'Operation Z: Military Correspondents of the Russian Spring'

You see how this is NOT a good start if one is trying to convey unbiassed news.

This falls squarely into the Russian Propaganda category.
And journalist would say where & when - and indeed HOW the footage was obtained. As it is, Russia has a TERRIBLE record for posting propaganda. HUNDREDS of articles accusing Ukraine of being a Nazi state.... which makes sense because their EXCUSE for the was was that they were fighting Neo-Nazis.

So well done on being such an easy mark. Since NO information is supplied, it cannot be checked.... which is why journalism DOES provide these details so it can be confirmed. After all, no real journalist wishes to be accused of providing an unsupported item.

You could argue the same about the Chinese, the Germans, and even the French with their barbarity during the French revolution.

I would argue there's a common thread to all these catastrophes, that they're not unrelated, and the same dark cloud that fell in each case is now trying to descend once again. We might not believe in dark forces, magic, demons or whatever, but there's a madness that seems to erupt periodically prior to wars/revolutions that overtakes populations. You could say its genetic hangover from our blood lusting ancestors, but I don't think that covers it. Even the average person recognises a sort of madness had overtaken the world in the past few years.

Anyway, the point being.. we're not inherently violent IMO. It's a lie. A very contagious, deadly, and as it turns out profitable, lie. I see no real urge to get round a table and negotiate from the west, it's like the powers want an escalation. Now we're sending them fucking tanks. What next, no-fly zones? This is not the direction we should be going.

I'm tired of this shit and people playing this tribal game, pretending Putin just started this out of thin air. It's nonsense. You can literally look through google to find the history of the past decade, and further. This incident didn't just happen in a fucking vacuum, unlike the last half-dozen 'wars' the west has engaged in. Russia is no saint, but we are completely full of shit in the west. I'm sick of it, the media lies and the gullibility of the public. We have no excuses after Iraq and it fucking does my head in that people still want to play this stupid tribal game.

It's all just a game until it's not and your loved ones are now in a war zone. There's ultra-rich cunts in the west who are profiteering of this, again. Stoking this 'red vs blue' crap. Fucks sake. War is shit. Especially when it's over such petty crap. Ukraine is fucking huge. Just give those two areas that are already predominantly Russian to the Russian's, sign a peace deal, pull NATO back, pull Russia back, have a few vodkas together and stick middle fingers up to the war hawk cunts hiding in the shadows looking to placate the demons of war.

Chinese yes, Germans with the Nazis is similar, the French not so much as they just paved the ideological way for the future because industrialization and technology wasn't quite ready for mass tyranny. You can't have total authoritarianism without high speed travel, long distance communication, and industrial scale tools for murder (guns and ammo).

Telegraph was around 1837 (USA)
Motor Car was around 1886 (German) although trains were a bit earlier and arguably more important transportation systems at the time.

The French revolution in the late 1700s was too early to use the modern technology to do evil on an industrial scale.

No but the point was that the barbarity we see the Russian's exhibiting is really no different to that seen by the aforementioned. The French revolution was really barbaric. The context might be different due to technology, but a psychological madness swept the population all the same. All of a sudden people became possessed with rage and blood lust, triggered by incendiary propaganda (an actual similarity).

We've seen it numerous times now in the past few centuries. I was just arguing that the Russian's really aren't unique in their evil, and that they're not evil in themselves. They've just been misled, as were all the rest of the other examples.

killing is barbaric. cavemen, french revolution, tomorrow. its barbaric to use a rock or a bullet to break brains.
Think about cutting down trees with an axe, one by one, vs using a big machine to clear cut a forest. Industrial scale is so vast and large that you can't compare the two.
Do you not differentiate the levels of barbarity between murdering a single person, and attempts to genocide an entire people?
The scale at which communists has killed their own people (MILLIONS) isn't comparable to the thousands of people who died during the French Revolutions Reign of Terror.

The actor, widely known as Zelensky, on top of the all the tanks various nations are going to send him now wants to have long range missiles and air support. Not that 100 tanks will make any fucking difference what so ever against Russia's military.

I hope all the war hawks and "I sUpPoRT uKRaiNe!" public are prepared for the possibility this will escalate the war and draw in our own military proper. I mean I know the war hawks are, all the talking heads and politicians undoubedtly have shares in BAE, Lockheed, etc. But if this thing goes south.. how many of the public are prepared to actually go and fight in this war themselves? Don't think that Putin is the only one who would institute a draft..

It's sickening.

I was thinking yesterday about how I wonder if we'll look back in 10 years and think of this as how world war 3 started. It sure has the makings of it.
