Elon Musk officially buys Twitter, DONE DEAL !

i hear this sentiment - left and right is a distraction to keep the focus off how we're all being screwed by the man - reasonably frequently in here.

it would be a little more credible if those earnestly saying it didn't criticize sjw liberal sheep a sentence or two later...

be the change.

Left wing and right wing, two wings on the same bird maaan

Call me crazy but in todays world I don’t even see that many injustices….yea there is the police problem which I think can be broken down into two reasons, A. Legitimately racist cops which is a problem that needs to be delt with, and B. Statistics…and what I mean by that is when a cop is in training and showed statistics that show they are more likely to be resisted/attacked/shot at by a certain race it’s going to put them on edge when in those situations…but other than that I don’t see inequality in the work force, there probably is some in insurance loans ect. But again I think those are based off statistics, like this group of people are more likely to default than others…is that racist or just loss management from a business stand point , I dunno I don’t see much racism in my day to day life, certainly not as much as the TV would like you to believe

the war on drugs = injustice

i wasn't necessarily thinking of you, thujone.

thanks for clarifying, i just wanted to be upfront about it since i'm attacking the dogma a lot lately.

i don't actually know any liberals that talk about "social justice" stuff so to me it's baffling that people are ok with this dominating discourse and public policy.

meanwhile there's skyrocketing homelessness and street crime and overdose deaths and whoops hey there's no way to address that. surely...

maybe. i don't know.

i do know that implicit racial bias training is quite common these days so the issue goes both ways.

alasdair
But I don’t think statistics are racist ? They just track what is happening in the world right ? Now if someone interprets them in a racist way that the person, but I think it’s useful information that shouldn’t be with held in a job that you could potentially be killed in

or maybe it's a complex set of issues that doesn't boil down to genetic explanations?

not that i'm saying you believe it does, but it is a thing people think.

another issue is: human nature... dastardly, weak- minded fools that just go along with the dastardly, weak minded violence are one big reason that genocides are allowed to gain traction, for example.

do you think ALL the nazis wanted to murder/ torture people?

i'd guess that a vast majority were just going with the flow, scared to try and stop it... so just sucked it up and let ot happen, or even helped.

same with cops; a good cop that lets a bad cop do bad things is still a bad cop... "a few bad apples", we know what happens to the bunch

oh come on. sure you do.

Liberals are stupid…there I said it

come on, your average liberal is a lot stupider than your average republican, it’s just a fact

i'm a liberal. you say liberals are stupid. therefore you say i am stupid.

at least have the integrity to own it.

it depends on to which "particular statistics" specifically you were referring?

sounded like you weren't 100% sure. for example, which pd or pds were you referring to?

YOU STUPID FUCKING LIBERAL…sorry we’re 4 post in I had to get that out, but I’m referring to the statistics that may show certain groups of people are more inclined to act against police, or that gun violence in general is higher in a certain group

sure but you said "you believe..." they're used in police training. what are you basing that on - you don't seem that sure?

are you assuming or do you have some knowledge which informs the claim?

I saw it on some documentary a while ago, maybe on vice I dunno, but it makes sense they would inform officers of situations that are statistically more dangerous, don’t you think ?
