I get the urge to invalidate parts of these stories because they tangentially or peripherally relate to other matters you care about that antifa also supports... but it is a well known fact at this point that antifa volunteers to provide security for these all ages drag shows. There are stories linked in this thread unrelated to this one with pictures of them lining the streets around the bar where one of these events took place.
For the umpteenth time, drag queens aren't trans. They are adult gay male cross dressers engaged in an inherently sexualized activity. They do not want to be women, they are mimicking them for fun. Up until five minutes ago when everyone and their auntie started watching RuPaul's drag race, drag was confined to nightclubs and pride parades.
Ru Paul made the mistake of claiming "Drag queens are trans!!1" and promoting the myth that a black/poc transwoman started LGB pride and the Stonewall riots. In reality it was gays, lesbians, bisexuals, and some gay drag queens or female impersonators who were at the Stonewall demonstrations which at the time were a non-event and trans people were not involved or there at all. I was not there but I personally am friends with and know, or have met multiple men and women who were at the Stonewall demonstrations and they all have said how trans people were not there and not involved. Up until the mid 2000s or at least 2010 drag queens were hated and even today in 2022 I have met or known many gay men who have told me how they really loathe, and hate drag queens and want nothing to do with them at all. Or they have asked me, "Why are drag queens being promoted? Drag queens are tiresome, boring, they wear the same unimaginative wigs and creepy fake nails, and drag shows should have stopped by 1989 or better yet in 1979."
The drag queen story time for children is super strange and drag shows, children and teens should not be dressed in drag or take it as an entire identity or decide as a child or young teen "This is me this is who I am a drag queen and female impersonator! Watch me werk!", and drag queens and their adult jokes are not for children or teens.
As a very young person even before and during Kindergarten, I was around drag queens and female impersonators. None of them appeared to me in costume/character, or dressed in full drag or pretending to be women in character. If you are reading this wondering why I was around them at such an age, they are family friends. They never talked about sex at all when I was a child or young teen. Yes I knew they are gay, well not that I really knew what being gay/homosexual meant then I just could tell they were different, and into drag or female impersonation but it was explained to me that it is like dressing up for a costume party or a stage play, and they came out to me when I was older as it was for them to say this, and not for my parents to tell me something super personal about other family friends.
