K... the Dems aren't actually going to run him again , are they?

I wasn't thinking about the black folx.

Is there a reason I should be thinking about black people at this moment in time?
Joe Biden says so? Idk I didn’t think it was anything racial but then I kept seeing news articles highlighting how this pardon is gonna help black folks. And it really won’t help many folks at all so it’s just fuckin’ silly.

I dunno, while you are correct that there actually is not anyone currently in jail for simple possession at the federal level, I still believe it is a step in the right direction. Besides, pardons don't just apply to people currently in jail but AFAIK expunges the records of people previously convicted.

Not only did he ask that governors follow suit at the state level (which we all know most will not) but he also asked DOJ to research and consider rescheduling MJ from a schedule 1 substance. The rescheduling alone would be an even bigger step in the right direction. I'm optimistic that more good will come of this than harm.

Here's another non partisan issue that I think Biden did an excellent job working across the isle with:

Hurricane Ian

The Biden Administration ( Biden/Harris) decided at first that help for the hurricane should be given out should be based on equity, but walked that back later. Is the aftermath of a large natural disaster the time to hold back help to someone because of their race, religion, sexual orientation or factor other than the fact that they were impacted? Can you imagine if Republicans made a statement that proposed helping storm victims on any basis other than the fact that they lost their homes/shelter due to the storm? Is this really the time to divide people by a factor other than emergent need?

Wasn't the Trump administration the one holding back relief to blue states simply because a governor was democrat? Remember when DeSantis was a congressman and voted against Hurricane Sandy relief for New Jersey? Ah but now he suckles from the sweet teet of socialism.

Besides I don't think it matters if they thought one way then walked it back. The fact is they gave the relief when it was needed. End of story.

So it's OK because an opponent did it first? Didn't Joe Biden run on being the one to take the "higher road". What ever happened to that?

In my humble opinion neither Trump nor Biden are good candidates because they both did stuff like this. At least during the Trump administration (since you brought him up) the country didn't have gasoline/electrical shortage and high inflation rate.

Good job Joe Biden. Four more years !

To be fair, inflation is largely due to supply chain issues resulting from covid problems. If Trump won 4 more years, we'd still be having high inflation right now. The whole world is experiencing high inflation.
I do so enjoy seeing the Euro and the Pound reaching near parity with the USD though. Suck it Europe, don't act like your shit don't stink no more! :ROFLMAO:

Will Biden run again?

Oh my fucking God I hope not.

Personally, I like Cory Booker.
As a New Jerseyan I have to say that he’s done some good things for Newark when he was running it but I’m not in favor of all his shit. I mean come on. He’s at least a bit corrupt

Right, and what was the other option ? DONat SHUT THE WORLD DOWN FOR A COLD, I swear it’s like people look at one thing and cling to it nobody understands nuance these days :/
I get the $1,200 in April 2020 happening, and maybe even the $600 in late Dec early Jan 2021, but to do a $1,400 stimulus only 2-3 months later in March 2021 was not needed, and obviously caused a lot of damage

Morgan Stanley is saying they think the 1.9T stimulus is more to blame

That didn't help, sure. But then why is basically every country experiencing inflation? Did Biden also bail them out? Maybe they got ahold of Hunter's laptop and their economies got a virus?

And why is it the third stimulus that's caused inflation, but the others are okay?

That certainly would have been a better option.

The stimulus payments (all of them) created more demand on an already overburdened supply chain, but they also helped keep people from losing their homes and being unable to eat. I blame primarily the fucked supply chain... not enough goods for demand = inflation. Giving out stimulus money didn't cause those problems, even if it exacerbated them.

I'm not a Biden fan, but it seems a bit reactionary to blame it all on the one stimulus payment that Biden oversaw, while seemingly ignoring the ones Trump oversaw, as well as all of the other factors, as well as the fact that the US is far from the only country affected by this problem.

Because the USD is currently the worlds reserve currency
And why is it the third stimulus that's caused inflation, but the others are okay?
Because the third happened after the economy was already recovering compared to early 2020.
